The QNAP TS-464EU-8G SAN/NAS Storage System is a compact, high-performance storage solution built to meet the demands of modern homes and small offices. Harnessing the power of an Intel® Celeron® N5095 quad-core processor (burst up to 2.9 GHz) and 8 GB of DDR4 memory, this short-depth chassis packs enterprise-grade capability into a space-saving design. Designed for easy installation in tight media cabinets or racks with complex cabling, the TS-464EU-8G offers flexible deployment as both a traditional NAS and a robust SAN/NAS hybrid, delivering fast file access, reliable backups, and versatile data services. Whether you’re building a centralized media library, backing up workstations, or running lightweight virtualization, this system provides the performance, expandability, and software ecosystem you need to manage data confidently.

  • 4-bay, short-depth NAS chassis with hot-swappable drive bays capable of housing 3.5" HDDs and 2.5" SSDs, giving you scalable storage and flexible RAID configurations (RAID 0/1/5/6/10, JBOD) to protect your data while maximizing capacity.
  • Powerful CPU and ample memory deliver smooth multi-user performance for file sharing, media streaming, backups, and light virtualisation. The quad-core N5095 processor up to 2.9 GHz paired with 8 GB RAM ensures responsive operation even under heavy access and data transfers.
  • Dual 2.5 GbE network connectivity enables fast NAS and SAN workflows, plus link aggregation for higher throughput and failover protection. This makes the TS-464EU-8G an excellent choice for multi-user environments and bandwidth-intensive applications.
  • PCIe expansion slot supports NVMe SSD caching and additional expansion cards, allowing you to accelerate IOPS, reduce latency, and tailor the system to your workload—perfect for improving performance during backups, multimedia editing, or virtualization tasks.
  • Rich QNAP software ecosystem (QTS) delivers comprehensive data protection, remote access, and collaboration tools, including snapshots, backups, cloud sync, virtualization/containers, and robust security features—all designed to simplify storage management and protect your data.

How to install QNAP TS-464EU-8G

  • Plan your setup in a well-ventilated area. Place the TS-464EU-8G on a sturdy surface away from heat sources and ensure there is adequate airflow around the unit.
  • Install your drives: power off the unit, open the drive bays, and securely insert your 3.5" HDDs or 2.5" SSDs into the bays. Close the bays and reconnect power.
  • Connect the NAS to your network using the included Ethernet cables. Power on the device and wait for it to boot to the QTS setup screen.
  • Access the setup wizard: open a web browser and navigate to the NAS address (often http://nas.local or the assigned IP). Follow the on-screen prompts to initialize the system, create storage pools, and configure RAID according to your data protection needs.
  • Configure the storage and services: create volumes, set up shared folders, enable backups, and install essential apps (Backup Station, File Station, Photo Station, Container Station, Virtualization Station) to suit your workflow. If you plan SAN usage, configure iSCSI targets or LUNs as required.
  • Secure and optimize: set up users and permissions, enable two-factor authentication, configure firewall rules, enable automatic updates, and consider enabling snapshots and replication for data protection. After setup, create a backup strategy that includes off-site or cloud backups for additional resilience.

Frequently asked questions

  • What is the TS-464EU-8G best suited for? This 4-bay SAN/NAS storage system is ideal for small offices and power users who need centralized storage, fast network access, reliable backups, and a flexible app ecosystem. It works well for media libraries, file servers, and light virtualization tasks, while offering options for SAN workflows with iSCSI.
  • Can I expand storage beyond the four bays? Yes. The TS-464EU-8G supports expansion through its PCIe slot (for NVMe caching or other expansion cards) and you can attach external USB or network-attached storage to extend capacity as needed. RAID configurations help maximize usable space while protecting data.
  • Does it support NVMe caching? Yes. The single PCIe Gen3 x1 slot enables installation of an NVMe SSD to accelerate frequently accessed data, improving overall IOPS and responsiveness for busy file shares and database-like workloads.
  • What software features does it offer? The unit runs QTS, QNAP’s versatile NAS operating system, which includes powerful data protection tools (snapshots, backups, replication), cloud sync, virtualization and containerization (Virtualization Station and Container Station), media apps, and security features to guard against threats.
  • Is the TS-464EU-8G suitable for media streaming and backups? Absolutely. The combination of 4 drive bays, 8 GB RAM, and 2.5 GbE networking provides plenty of throughput for multi-user media streaming, rapid backups, and centralized storage for home or small business workflows. NVMe caching further enhances performance for demanding tasks.

Ends in a cliffhanger
Format: Kindle
Thankfully, the next book is already available. Roxy Collins is the queen of omegaverse slow burn. This particular series is omegaverse with wolf shifters. Thoroughly enjoyed this book! Lots of suspense and trying to figure out what is true and what's really going on. I loved it! Pretty spicy once the action starts. Heats are pretty much always spicy. There is a little bit of male interaction, but not full-on shmex. Definitely recommend.

Epic!!!!
Format: Kindle
Absolutely addicted from the first page. The twists and turns, world building and character development all come together for the perfect Omegaverse. And let's not forget that spice because knots are life and these are spectacular. Running for book #2 because that cliffhanger was torturous.

A good read
Format: Kindle
A good read, just fluffy cuteness, no antagonism. I like all the characters. It could have used another round of editing however, glanfds being one error that cracked me up, and my personal pet peeve was that the author kept using the word fill instead of feel, which I promise you are not interchangeable haha, but it's definitely better than the majority of books I read on here mistake-wise.

amazing
Format: Kindle
Knot the Bride was a fantastic read! The characters were all amazing and well-developed. It was easy to like them all. Sophia, Luca, Nick, and Gavin were all perfect for each other. It was such a charming story that had me hooked the entire time. I did wish there were POVs from Luca, Nick, and Gavin but it was still an amazing book without it. I am excited to read the next book in the Willowside Omegaverse series! This is definitely a must-read for fans of omegaverse romance!. I received a free copy of this book and am voluntarily leaving a review.

3 Star Read,
Format: Kindle
This book wasn't bad, but wasn't my cup of tea. It's highly disappointing because the storyline is so original. There is no real conflict or resolution, so the entire thing feels flat. As a lover of omegaverse books, I know there is a ton of variety out there, and ov is really up to the author. But this one is weird. Omegas have multiple scent glands all over their bodies and go into week long heats every month. Alphas have knots in the middle of their shaft instead of the base, and the knot doesn't always swell, no explanation of when or why. It doesn't engage at all when the mouth is in play. I also didn't enjoy the author's writing style. Each paragraph is only 1 or 2 sentences long, and the entire book reads very stacato. The conversations are stiff and unnatural feeling. Everything is very repetitive, both in word choice and in thought. The same thing is repeated 3 or 4 times over a single page, multiple times over. I ended up doing so much skimming. The first 50% of the book is all slow burn, and the last 50% is almost straight mediocre spice. This wouldn't have been all bad if the grammar and spelling errors didn't start at the exact same time. Tongue is repeatedly misspelled in the middle of the spice.
