ThorpyFx and Chris Buck have collaborated to deliver a signature Valve overdrive and Boost. Designed with Chris in mind, the ELECTRIC LIGHTNING delivers a dynamic overdrive that retains clarity and articulation all the way up to the upper reaches of the gain pot. The drive is equipped with a 3 band EQ for control over the tonality no matter what amp/guitar combo you use. The boost is a familiar high headroom boost but tailored to Chris’s needs it can be used to fatten up cleans or give extra saturation to the valve overdrive section.
Unlike many other signature products, the ELECTRIC LIGHTNING is designed specifically not to be a “one trick pony” Both Chris and Thorpy wanted it to be an awesome effect pedal regardless of your playing style and as such, you can craft the ELECTRIC LIGHTNING to your style for maximum satisfaction. THE ELECTRIC LIGHTNING has two sides: a complex valve overdrive with 3 band Eq and a high headroom super clean boost on the right. The pedal is designed so that the boost runs into the valve overdrive side. This arrangement yields three distinct tonal variations ranging from clean boost all the way through to full and fat saturation. The pedal is designed to clean up impeccably from your volume control and as such it is ideal for dynamic players who like to constantly adjust their playing style.
VOLUME: Use this control to increase the volume output of the drive side of pedal.
GAIN: This control is used to increase the level of drive available on the drive side of the pedal, everything from lightly crispy through to heavier sounds is available here.
BASS: This control gives allows you massive amounts of control over the bass response of the drive. Clockwise yields bass rich sounds. A little can go a long way, the EQ is powerful enough to cope with most backlines of varying EQ character.
MIDS: This control gives allows you massive amounts of control over the mids response of the drive. Clockwise yields mids focused sounds. A little can go a long way, the EQ is powerful enough to cope with most backlines of varying EQ character.
TREBLE: This control gives allows you massive amounts of control over the treble response of the drive. Clockwise yields treble focused sounds. A little can go a long way, the EQ is powerful enough to cope with most backlines of varying EQ character.
BOOST: This control gives you control to boost or attenuate your signal, use it on its own as part of the boost side of the pedal or when stacked into the drive it can really make the pedal sing with complex harmonics and layered overdrive.
LOWS: This control gives you control to add low end to the boost side of the pedal and fatten up your signal for crystal clear but fat clean sounds.
LEFT FOOTSWITCH: This turns the drive side on/off.
RIGHT FOOTSWITCH: This turns the boost side on/off.
POWER: THE ELECTRIC LIGHTNING is designed to work at voltages of 12V DC. On power up, the inrush current can be as high as 700mA settling to 280-300mA during use. This should be provided from the supplied centre negative power supply. However, if your boards power supply can provide the requisite voltage and current requirements you can. Do not attempt to use this pedal with other voltages or polarities, the pedal can at best just not start up (limp mode) or at worst you can damage the sensitive internal electrics. Please be aware it takes a short period of time at first power up for the valve to heat to optimum level and begin working.
COMPONENTS: To ensure consistency, reliability, low noise and tonal supremacy the ELECTRIC LIGHTNING is made with extremely high quality components. 1% metalfilm resistors, WIMA and Panasonic capacitors where possible and robust through hole plated PCB’S. In short, all of this means you won’t have to worry about your pedal and it should give you many years of inspiring tonal bliss.

Love this frother. It is great quality and the turn speed is amazing. My only issue is this. It comes w 2 wands and they are both singles. The single is great for stirring things up. It does not make a lot of froth and for some things it’s perfect but sometimes I like a lot of froth and I wish it either came w a single and a double or you could purchase a double separately to intermix. I don’t want to buy a whole other unit just for the double. I wrote to them bc the double frother they sell doesn’t look as good as this one but sometimes a girl needs a lot of foam and sometimes th stirring is perfect.

Better than most

This WGT is one of the better ones on the market, but it isn't the best. But then again, the best comes with a hefty price. From the number of WGT's in my arsenal, this ranks right up there with the ones I have or could consider. The holder (magnet) is a little above average. Meaning it will hold the WGT without fear of losing it. It comes with extra needles, which is, if you ever used one, come in handy. It is fully adjustable so you can set the needles to the correct width when stirring the grinds. Small yet practical. The perfect size and shape for starting your coffee out right. This one in particular I use for the finer grinds as the needles can agitate them more effectively. Courser grinds not so much. Come cleaning time, this cleans rather well and simply hanging it back up will facilitate drying. Overall? Good choice for the beginner or professional alike. Solid, well designed, and perfect for almost any coffee use.

Excellent little bugger. I was a little concerned about the size but like everything I’ve bought with the MHW-3Bomber mane on it, it’s built like a tank. The adjustments for the needle angles has this awesome ball-decent click that feels premium. If you’re looking for a small, hand operated WDT tool just but this one. It’s worth every penny. I’ve had a few of the cheap ones and they just move the coffee around. The adjustability on this one fluffs up the coffee very nicely and breaks up the clumps instead of making them.

Excellent tool, convenient and adjustable

This is a great design and a quality product. The angle adjustment for the needles is super helpful, allowing the exact distance needed for any size portafilter. Needles are removable if a less dense pattern is desired, and they are easily replaceable as well (spare needles are also provided)!
The magnetic stand works well, and the magnets have the perfect amount of force to hold it in place but allow easy removal. I was a tiny bit disappointed that the base did not come with any type of rubber or silicone non-skid, and do recommend adding some to the bottom so it doesn't slide around on your countertop.
I highly recommend this item!
