Antique Kashan rugs are highly esteemed Persian carpets known for their exquisite craftsmanship, intricate designs, and rich history. Kashan, a city in central Iran, has been a prominent center for rug weaving for centuries, with a tradition dating back to the Safavid era (16th to 18th centuries). Kashan rugs gained international recognition during the late 19th and early 20th centuries when they became prized possessions among collectors and enthusiasts worldwide. Antique Kashan rugs often feature elaborate floral motifs, intricate arabesques, medallion designs, and finely detailed borders. The designs are meticulously executed with precision and symmetry, reflecting the skilled craftsmanship of Kashan artisans. The color palette typically includes rich jewel tones such as deep reds, blues, greens, and ivory. Kashan rugs are handwoven using high-quality wool or silk on a cotton foundation. The weaving technique typically involves asymmetric knotting (Persian knotting), which results in a dense and durable pile. Some Kashan rugs may incorporate silk highlights in the pile or the foundation, adding to their luxurious appearance and texture. Antique Kashan rugs are renowned for their fine knotting and tight weave, which contribute to their exceptional quality and longevity. The knots are often tied densely, resulting in a plush and resilient pile that can withstand years of use. Kashan rugs have a rich cultural heritage and are associated with the golden age of Persian carpet weaving. They have been admired and collected by royalty, nobility, and connoisseurs throughout history, reflecting their status as prized possessions and symbols of wealth and prestige. Authentic antique Kashan rugs are highly valued by collectors and enthusiasts for their artistic merit, historical significance, and craftsmanship. Due to their rarity and age, genuine antique Kashan rugs can command high prices in the antique rug market. Kashan rugs come in a variety of sizes, ranging from small area rugs to large room-sized carpets. They also exhibit a diverse range of styles, from traditional floral designs to more geometric patterns, reflecting the evolution of Kashan rug weaving over the centuries. Proper care and maintenance are essential for preserving the beauty and integrity of antique Kashan rugs. Regular vacuuming, rotation, and professional cleaning can help maintain their appearance and extend their lifespan.

Great price great shoe
Size: 12, Color: Burgundy Polished Full Grain
Excellent shoe. Tried the Sebago penny loafer and the sizing was ridiculous. These J and M are sized perfectly. I’ve had them before and they wear like iron. Very comfortable right out of the box.

Quality shoe but with a slight squeak.
Size: 10 Wide, Color: Burgundy Polished Full Grain
Nice shoes with the classic Penny Loafer design. Fit was better than another brand I tried. Only reason not 5 starts is disappointment due to a slight squeak at times when walking.

Exact item ordered, quick delivery
Size: 9.5, Color: Black Polished Full Grain
I ordered these black Cole Haan penny loafers for casual wear with jeans, khakies, and even business casual with slacks and a jacket. They've always worked perfectly for these uses. The Cole Haan version is the most versatile and still meets my sophisticated look criteria. I wear a 9 1/2 M with almost all other shoes. I have found Cole Haan to run slightly wider and slightly shorter. This fit will work with thin and no socks and a little loose in width. . I'd likely order a 10 N next time. I tend to forget this but it runs consistent with me for Cole Haan. 5 stars for the shoe and service. My bad on the slightly off fit.

Poor quality control - maybe outlet store leftovers
Size: 11.5, Color: Burgundy Polished Full Grain
The two shoes were not the same size. They were both labeled 11 1/2 but one shoe was larger than the other and the fit was poor. I returned the first pair and ordered a replacement. This time the shoes were close to the same size but too loose and the left one has sewing issues. I've bought Johnston & Murphy for years because of the quality. These were to replace an existing pair of burgundy penny loafers that have finally worn out (even after several heal/sole replacements). That is the expected quality. I suspect Nashville Shoe Warehouse may be handling shoes that didn't measure up for the quality; more like an outlet mall than getting the J&M quality I've come to expect. Update: went to Johnston & Murphy site to buy "direct" from the manufacturer. There were several recent reviews where the shoes were long and didn't fit properly. Genesco - please step up the manufacture / crafting of these classic shoes to the level of quality they used to have.
