Ciaramella are a six-member ensemble bringing to life Medieval and early Renaissance music from historical events and manuscripts. Praised for performing intricate 15th c. counterpoint "with the ease of jazz musicians improvising on a theme", it's members are united by the conviction that every composition conceals a rich story waiting to be unlocked through historical research and speculative performance. Founded on a core of winds: shawm, sackbut, recorder, bagpipe, and voice, Ciaramella takes it's name from the Italian shawm (a centuries old woodwind family instrument) and from a 15th c. song about a beautiful girl whose clothes are full of holes. When she opens her mouth, she knocks men flat. Ciaramella's members met as graduate students at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, Ohio. They first performed together on Christmas Day 2003, in Spoleto, Italy. This release is the first ever 45rpm LP available from Yarlung Records.

Stains easily. Tight for men's size 11 feet

Husband wore dark cotton socks over these gel foot covers overnight and the covers picked up color from the socks. Tried hand washing, even dabbing with a bleach soaked paper towel, but the stains remained. The covers are a bit tight for men's size 11. Edit: After a few more hand washings the stains began to fade. However one tore around the leg opening when taking it off.

Helps dry, cracked feet

We use these on my husband’s cracked feet in the winter and put on a thick cream under these socks. They are nice because hair, dirt and that kind of stuff doesn’t stick to the outside. I do wish them came in more sizes and colors. They were a little small for my husband, but still worked good enough. My husband isn’t thrilled about wearing pink socks around the house. At least it’s just around the house and not out in public though.
