Why choose Pod Technical?
When we started Pod Technical, there were very few stethoscope cases on the market, and certainly nothing that we felt was a good enough product for the task of protecting the investment a medical professional makes into a quality stethoscope. Since we introduced our original classicpod and cardiopod solutions many other sellers have tried to capitalise on our success by producing cheap imitations of our cases or alternative designs that show no thought or knowledge of the requirements.

Why a shaped interior?
Our original cases were designed to mimic the optimum form for holding the stethoscope in transit that is used in Littmann's own product boxes. The foam inserts that hold a Littmann scope in place in their original packaging show the tubing held in a relaxed curve, and a much larger box for double-lumen tubing scopes of cardiology grade or higher. This is key to avoid damage and stress to the binaural during transit and storage. Whilst our original cases were designed to meet this standard (and are still in our opinion the best designed cases up to this point) we still felt we could improve upon them. With a wealth of feedback from our customers we were able to focus on creating a solution that is even more efficient and effective than before.

Why the new design?
The classicpod micro takes the shaped insert of our original classicpod case and utilises our patented cross-over bridge solution to hold the stethoscope perfectly in position in an even smaller form factor. Why use a formed interior at all when you can buy a cheaper 'stethoscope case' that is essentially just an empty box? For the same reason that Littmann doesn't ship the stethoscopes loose in an empty box. The chestpiece and headset of the stethoscope are metal. The tubing is rubber. As you can imagine, the constant friction of one against the other will cause damage over time. Additionally, forcing the tubing into tight curves in a small box causes stress on the tubing leaving kinks and ultimately damaging it. Our preformed case holds the stethoscope in a stress-free position and separates the metal parts from the tubing. We have used cutting edge 3D scanning and 3D printing to prototype and revise our case dozens of times over until we got it just right. Then we have the materials - our imitators will sell knock-off cases with thin, flimsy materials that crush, snag and break. Our 1680D nylon outer is luggage grade, the padding is thick and firm, and the interior is engineered to add extra structural strength throughout. Our zips have been upgraded to be smooth-pulling, strong and to protect the seam from dust. The mesh ancillary pouch inside was chosen from a selection of sample fabrics to be silky soft as well as strong in order to avoid any rubbing against the stethoscope itself. The compact size of the classicpod micro is only suitable for single-lumen, 'Classic' range Littmann scopes. Double-lumen 'Cardiology' range scopes will not fit safely - please see our brand new patented Cardiopod II case for these.

We have included subtle recesses in the lid of the case to show which way up it goes and also to allow the optional affixing of a 3M Littmann identity tag plate (not included).

These were my new "Go To" jeans, not so much after a wearing for a year
Size: 35W x 32L, Color: Antique Indigo, Size: 35W x 32L, Color: Antique Indigo
Love 'em already after only one day of wearing them. I am a 7 days a week, jeans wearing kind of guy pretty much. Office job and recreation. I got scared away from my usual beloved ***tco jeans because of the bad reviews on their site for their now "Made in China" 12.99 jeans which used to be made in Mexico. So off to Amazon to shop for my first Amazon clothes purchase. Found these Antique Indigo Wrangler jeans for just under double the warehouse price. Advantage was they had the exact size I wanted (35Wx32L) vs settling for either 34W or 36W at the warehouse. The waist size was exact. I measured the waist by folding the waist in half and measuring with a tape measure. 17.5 inches exactly (17.5" X 2 = 35"). Didn't measure the length. Color seems to be a tad darker than the Antique Indigo pictured on the website. To me they seem to be in between the Antique Indigo and Antique Navy in color, but that is just my opinion. I guess it could be monitor differences. Doesn't matter to me. Not sure it matters to anyone (it doesn't to me) but I decided to weigh these and compare them to my very worn 34x32 warehouse jeans. These were exactly 30ounces. The warehouse jeans were 27 ounces. These are Made in Mexico of US materials as stated on the tag. These will be my new go to jeans, even at double my usual price, until ***tco goes back to the old Mexican manufacturer. Yes, this is my real opinion not influenced by free or reduced price product for providing a review. Update March 21, 2017: So, here it is a year later. How do they measure up now? I have changed my review from 5 to 3 stars for the following reasons: 1. Weak patch (1/2 star deduction) - The Wrangler "patch" on the back has either ripped or started "peeling" off on two of three pairs purchased. Not that big of a deal as I just remove it completely when it starts hanging. The patch is made of some leatherish paper is the way I would describe it. Doesn't really seem to be cloth and certainly isn't leather. Would be nice and longer lasting if it was real leather. 2. Manufacturing variation (1/2 star deduction) - One pair of the three is maybe one inch shorter than the others. The length of two pairs is the same and long enough to lay on my shoes with a bit to spare. The other pair just barely makes it to my shoes. Not a deal breaker but I am conscious of that pair being shorter when I wear them. 3. Short pocket flaps (1 star deduction) - Not sure how to describe this. The part of the denim that enters the pocket and to which the white pocket material is sewn to, doesn't go deep enough into the pocket. The result is that this part partially pulls out of the pocket (or almost so), making the white pocket material marginally visible. I am very frequently aware of my pocket whites being displayed to the world and am frequently tucking them or pushing them back in. This is the worst aspect of these jeans for me. This might just be an aspect of the way these jeans fit on my body shape. If this denim part that enters into the pocket were just 1/2" or 1" deeper into the pocket, this would not be a problem. So far the durability of the jeans is great, other than the Wrangler patch. They don't really have to survive much in my day-to-day use of them, as I work in an office setting and don't wear a belt with my jeans, but they seem to be a match for the warehouse jeans I used to purchase. Would I buy again? To be honest, I would probably try another brand or maybe another style within the Wrangler family and only come back to these if I could not find anything better based on price and performance. These are okay jeans and I will continue to wear them to the end of their life.
