A rare and evocative Georgian mourning ring (circa 1760–1780), featuring a finely rendered figural scene of a woman leaning on a pedestal—a classical allegory of grief and remembrance—set against a rich blue enamel ground and preserved beneath a protective glass pane. Such pictorial mourning jewels were commissioned to commemorate the deceased and reflect the 18th-century fascination with classical symbolism, sentiment, and allegory.
The ring is crafted in low-carat gold (~3k), consistent with Georgian construction, and is accompanied by its original fitted box, a remarkable survival that significantly enhances both its historical importance and collector appeal. The face of the ring measures approximately 1.3 inches by 0.85 inches wide and is a size 5.5.
The metal has been professionally evaluated using XRF (X-ray fluorescence) analysis and traditional jeweler’s testing, confirming its period-appropriate gold composition. In good antique condition, this ring is an fine example of 18th-century mourning jewelry.

Not as small as described

Was disappointed with this product , as the reason for me ordering this product was so that I could gift to my little 6pound yorkie in an Easter basket , considering that my pet preference is SMALL balls and these were pretty much an average size ball. So she didn’t get much enjoyment out of them. Price was very fair , but money wasted overall because she doesn’t play with them.
