With many other tractor styles such as Joel Salatin, John Suscovich, Justin Rhodes, & many DIY plans, the units are subject to rotting out and or parts failing after a few years. As a result, they may continually cost time and money to repair and or eventually replace. If you are using multiple tractors, you could be repairing other styles weekly depending on usage. With our design you have fully welded aluminum frames that do not fail under normal use. For a successful long term business plan, it's better to invest a quality lasting tractor design than it is one that involves many annual repair costs. Spend the money upfront for future year after year profits with less headaches and reoccurring costs.  Our chicken tractors are designed with a door on one of the panels if you choose to free range beyond the tractor itself. In this case you would need a predation plan such as a portable hot wire step in fencing or livestock guardian dogs. When using any chicken tractor, you need to have a predation plan in place to protect your investments for a successful harvest with minimal loss.

This model includes one 90-degree corner brace that is not only designed to keep the unit square, but also to hold a 5-gallon bucket of water. You can choose to attach it at the top of the frames or the bottom of the frames. This will allow you to put the bucket of water on the inside or on the outside. The pictures show you this for reference and a bucket is not included. As far as feeding goes you can insert and remove a feed trough daily by sliding it through the coop door or simply remove a few ball bungees and insert and remove your feeders through the top. 

  The PVC coated tarp is custom cut and specially made for our tractor and is the best we could get. It is 18 mil thickness and comes with a 5-year warranty. With attaching the tarp to the tractor during use only, it will be in the weather only when your broilers are in the tractor from week 3 to processing. When not in use it should be removed. Making it so this tarp could last for a lifetime depending on your meat bird batch frequency. The only real consumable to this coop is the 5-inch ball bungees, as they may need replacing each season.

With over 25 square feet of internal space, we recommend this model for up to 20 meat birds per tractor at 1.25 Sq Ft per bird or 17 at 1.5 Sq Ft per bird. Unit assembles fast and easy with our panel clamp system. Each panel is 60 inches long and 20 inches high. The four welded aluminum ski style feet add 2 inches to the panel height when assembled and work in forward or reverse. There is also a center frame for rain runoff that adds an inch making the unit 23 inches tall overall. After assembly the unit measures 63.25 inches long without the feet and 68.625 inches long with the feet by 60 inches wide. Strong 1-inch frames with 1.25-inch welded strapping spaced 2 inches apart and basket weaved and welded at every junction. 

Our tractor also includes a 1/8-inch stainless steel 8-foot cable and 12-inch PVC handle to move this tractor anywhere with ease. This unit weighs only 34 pounds and is very easy for 1 person to move. Keep this in mind in high wind areas as you may need to use some hammer in, drill in, or step in anchors to keep the tractors from any movement. We offer anchoring options separately if you are using in a high wind environment. 

On harvest day you simply release the ball bungees and transfer your birds from the tractor to a chicken transport crate for processing. Making this design very easy on harvest day compared to many other designs that may have you chasing chickens.
