Originally released in 1997, this mischievous scene is taken from the 1942 animated film The Bowling Alley Cat, starring Tom and Jerry up to no good in a bowling alley! The sparring cat-and-mouse duo were created by William Hanna and Joseph Barbera, and were unveiled to the public in February 1940. Eight decades later, they remain two of the best-loved characters in animation history.
The vivid colours of the original artwork were captured by tracing and hand-painting onto the cel using original Hanna-Barbera colours, with the paper background created using a fine lithograph printing process. Featuring a seal of authenticity and hand-framed by our specialist team, this vibrant artwork is a must-have for any cartoon fan.
