Founded in 1954, Mount Snow has been serving the Northeast for decades with its signature blend of great snow, great terrain, and great service. With 2,700 vertical feet of skiing, laps at Mount Snow are long, and their extensive snowmaking system ensures that there’s always a good base present. Since its founding, Mount Snow has always been a leader among ski resorts, especially when it comes to offering more terrain and more lifts. Some of those ideas never came to fruition, like the founder’s scheme to use an atomic bomb to create more skiable terrain and increase the mountain’s vertical. Luckily that idea got shot down, but plenty of less destructive changes have helped cement Mount Snow’s legacy as one of the defining resorts on the East Coast.
