A Survey of work 1982 - 2020 by Wayne 'Iggy' EagerA review by Chips Mackinolty.Wayne Å“Iggyù Eager€long time central Australian artist€started his career more than a decade before the absurdist film, and has a hell of a lot more to say through his visual art. For the first time we can see his work over the 30 years he has worked as an artist since his arrival here in 1990 in the newly released retrospective of his work here, Wayne Eager. Well get to see the work in the flesh in March next year when it gets to Araluen, but this book gives us a fabulous sneak preview of the coming exhibition.Iggys work can broadly, but not exclusively, be described as abstract but theres more to it than this. There is always a fierce sense of Å“placeù in his work. For example, his early works in the Kakadu region€ones Id not seen before€are instantly sensed as being entwined in the dry tropical, in stark contrast to his works that are deeply embedded in our desert environment here. At times lyrical, at times harsh, they are always about place. The accompanying essays in the book based on the exhibition, Bitumen and Dirt€Wayne Eager, 30 years in the Territory€give important insights into the work (as opposed to the Å“its all about meù writings of too many art critics). They include words from John Kean, well known here from his days at Papunya Tula; curator and writer Kirsty Grant; and a great overview from leading art historian, Sasha Grishin. This is wrapped up by the exhibitions curator, Kellie Joswig.

Tremendous value for the money!
Color: Gray
As a certified espresso nerd and aficionado, I knew I had to find something to get my fix while traveling on a recent vacation. This portable espresso maker more than fit the bill! Its compact size makes it versatile to carry in a carry-on bag for travel. The rechargeable battery will get you 2-3 shots of espresso depending on if you preheat water or start from cold. When starting from cold it easily heats to 198 when it starts extracting. The machine is easy to use and includes bases for either ground coffee or Nespresso original capsules. I used the capsules on my trip and was more than impressed by the results. The espresso quality is great and clean up is very easy with a simple towel. The battery does take a bit to charge with the included cable, but using a high output usb-c power source makes a world of difference. For the money, it’s a tremendous value. Under $100 for a feature packed machine is fantastic! Definitely a must and a must buy if you’re a coffee/espresso fan like me!

Turns on and shuts off with out pulling
Color: Gray
Mine worked once and never worked again. Continuously turns on, gets to 120 degrees and then shuts off without pulling the shot. When I requested a refund, the associate talked me into them sending a replacement instead and it was never sent. As a former barista who wanted a portable option for travel this all was very disappointing
