The Hi-X20 offers exceptionally low noise and total harmonic distortion, especially at low frequencies. The headband and hinges are constructed from metal for stability and robustness, while the earcups are foldable, swiveling, and feature a mounting system to replace the comfortable memory foam earpads when they inevitably wear out. The 10' cable is detachable, further improving the longevity and resilience of these headphones. The Hi-X20 includes the detachable cable, a 1/4" TRS plug adapter, and a carry bag.
High-Precision Sound
One important measure of audio clarity and precision is Total Harmonic Distortion (THD), which assesses the amount of unwanted harmonic distortion that a sound-reproduction system creates in an audio signal passing through it. THD is typically measured at 1 kHz, where the Hi-X20 scores an impressive value of <0.1%.
But when measured at lower frequencies—for example, around the 60 Hz thrust of the bass drum—the Hi-X20 headphones are even more impressive, scoring THD values up to 3 times better than several competing products from similar or even considerably more expensive price ranges. This results in clean and detailed bass reproduction.
Hi-X Driver Technology
Hi-X (high excursion) technology is the key to the high-precision sound of the Hi-X20 headphones. The Hi-X20 feature 44mm drivers and a ring magnet system, which allows for improved airflow and includes the strongest magnetic field in its class.
The ring magnet, combined with a copper-clad aluminum voice coil, reduces the weight of the membrane and the voice coil connected to it, allowing the membrane to move or change direction faster, and providing a more responsive impulse reaction. Expect great bass imaging and low THD (total harmonic distortion) at low frequencies, together with a linear frequency response and open, precise, high-resolution sound that is very revealing and makes error detection easy.
Longevity
The earpads can be replaced and renewed with ease, just like the detachable cable. This means that precision, listening pleasure, and comfort can be maintained for a long time. The folding design and load-bearing components are all metal for robustness and stability. A light, high-quality carrying bag protects and assists portability.

Not great but not bad!
Format: Audiobook
I loved the audio and I'm so glad there were two narrators!
I really loved the deconstruction rep in this book. It spoke to me in ways that felt real and authentic. I also liked the way the migraine/chronic illness was handled as well.
The reason this is a 3 star to me is that I can't remember the characters names and I just finished this book. The first 50% was pretty forgettable. It was hard for me to get into that first half.
The second half however, I really enjoyed! Courtney and Thea (yes I did just have to look up their names) could have used more fleshing out. Courtney's ex's threats felt like a nothing burger in the end and Courtney's running also didn't hit quite like I wish it had.
The last 50% things finally get moving. These characters finally start sharing with each other and being open and vulnerable but there is still a big secret that get revealed that throws a wrench into the whole thing.
Overall I did enjoy it!

Four and a half stars for this sapphic romance
Format: Paperback
I’m giving this book four and a half stars. There was a lot I really loved about it. The banter between the main characters is lovely, and there were several scenes that are just adorable. They’re complex characters though with their flaws and histories. They have depth. And how they react in a situation isn’t how you might react, but it’s right for that character. It felt truthful and in many ways relatable. I’ve got enough religious trauma that I can definitely relate, and although I’ve never been a catholic, I have what I think of as catholic guilt…in that I feel guilty for cutting my family out of my life despite the death threats, hateful comments, and constant hit my self esteem and mental health takes. I can even understand hiding physical health issues, because people definitely do treat you differently, also there’s trauma that goes back there too.
I loved the play of the word stars used in the title, and how it fits both main characters so well. It’s super clever.
I know some people were disappointed at this story, and I have to say that it left me going into the book feeling down about it, but instead I really enjoyed it (minus the breakup/not breakup). The ending was incredibly satisfying for me.

beautiful story
Format: Kindle
“With Stars in Her Eyes” is a beautiful book. The characters have dealt with and are dealing with some pretty heavy issues, especially Courtney. And for Courtney especially, her past has resulted in some pretty dysfunctional thinking and behavior (quite understandably). However, while the story deals with some heavy topics, there is also a lot of humor, wonder and joy. There are so many things to love about this story — the friendship between Thea and Marshall and between Courtney and Sam; the bookshop “pets” and how they are incorporated into the story; Ms. Jeannie (who is kind of intimidating); the banter between Thea and Courtney, especially all the innuendo (intentional or not); the legal food puns; the joy and appreciation Thea experiences with her photography, especially using the older cameras and techniques she learned from her grandfather; the discussion of the books Thea and Courtney like to read; the descriptive intimate scenes; the book clubs; the lyrics of Courtney’s songs, etc.

Strong sense of place and character😍
Format: Kindle
Burke really nails emotions. I did not grow up with religious trauma, but reading about Courtney made me feel like I did. I didn't have a family that treated me like the help just because I was following my own path, but reading Thea's POV made me believe I had. It's truly a gift when an author can establish such a strong sense of place and character. I can't wait to see what she does next.😍
