A substantial vintage pedestal bowl crafted from solid kauri, featuring a beautifully turned bowl resting on a separate pedestal base. Generous in scale and warm in tone, it works beautifully as a fruit or salad bowl, or as a sculptural centrepiece on a dining table or kitchen bench.
MEASUREMENTS / 32cm wide x 15cm high
MATERIALS & COLOUR / Solid kauri / Warm honey-toned timber with natural grain variation.
CONDITION / Vintage condition with surface marks consistent with age and use. The kauri shows natural age-related cracking, including one more noticeable crack to the rim (see images). This is stable and typical of solid native timber. Bowl and pedestal sit securely together. Felt to the underside. Additional images available on request.
