The D SERIES-A2 represents a passive audio output assembly specifically designed to offer one or two unbalanced consumer-level audio outputs derived from a balanced line-level audio source. This assembly seamlessly connects to the +4 dBu line-level output of any RDL product, even when simultaneously feeding other equipment.

The circuit design of the D SERIES-A2 ensures a high level of audio isolation, safeguarding against any potential issues that may arise if a consumer-level source is inadvertently connected to the assembly. The attenuation provided for reverse signals is generally adequate for most installations. However, for situations requiring complete isolation, active RDL modules are available as a supplementary measure.

The output jacks of the D SERIES-A2 are transformer isolated from the balanced line input, while the input shield is electrically separated from the case ground, effectively reducing the likelihood of induced hum. It is important to note that the D SERIES-A2 is not intended for use as an audio input panel.

In terms of installation, the D SERIES-A2 is compatible with RDL back boxes, readily available for cabinets or US and international wall installations (such as RDL WB-1U). It can also be directly mounted into cabinets or most standard US single gang electrical boxes, offering flexibility and ease of integration.
