Important usage precautions. Stainless steel ice cubes taken from the freezer are at very low temperatures (-18°C) — never touch the ice cubes with bare hands during the first few seconds after removal; skin-to-frozen steel contact can cause a sensation of cold burn or even minor frostbite on damp skin. Always use the provided tongs. Risk of impact on glasses: gently place the ice cubes into the glass with the tongs rather than dropping them — steel is dense and can damage fine crystal glasses or chip edges. Thermal shock to the glass: never place a hot glass (from the dishwasher) in direct contact with ice cubes taken from the freezer; the thermal differential could crack the glass. Allow the glass to return to room temperature before use. Storage: never store the ice cubes in humid conditions outside the freezer; they could develop superficial oxidation (rare with quality stainless steel, but possible with neglect). Food compatibility: designed for spirits and cold beverages only — not suitable for culinary uses involving high temperatures.
