The Neumann MN V Pattern Control Unit is a replacement power supply for the M 49 V large-diaphragm tube condenser microphone. It is also suitable in principle for operating all vintage Neumann microphones utilizing the AC 701 tube, such as the older M 49 and M 249.
Features
- This classical pattern control unit is designed to remotely operate the microphone. Use the pattern knob to continuously adjust the polar pattern from omnidirectional to cardioid to figure-8 and including intermediate settings.
- The built-in power supply automatically switches between the 100 to 240 VAC mains voltage ranges for use internationally. Dual, slow-blow fuses enable safe operation. The sturdy power switch minimizes accidentally switching off the unit and a large indicator lamp emits a warm glow when the power supply is on.
- To ensure a long life, the tube is heated up gently, with current limiting. A very effective filtering inside the NM V ensures very high-quality operating voltages, with a minimum of residual noise voltages.
- The MN V utilizes a 7-pin XLR jack for connection to your microphone and a 3-pin XLR for standardized connectivity with microphone preamps, mixing consoles, and audio interfaces.
- Built in Germany, the unit ships with a power cable and features a top-mounted carry handle for easy transport.

SIMPLY PERFECT

If you can appreciate a watch that simply tells time, buy this beautiful watch. The band is made of quality leather, it’s easy to adjust to fit and stays in place. The watch face is clean, bright and easy to read the accurate time. The functionality to light the face by pressing the wind button in is a thoughtful feature. The watch is water “resistant” (you can wear the watch when washing dishes), but I wouldn’t shower with it on or submerge it in water just in case. This watch accessorizes with anything I’m wearing in an understated way. TIMEX is a time-proven quality watch maker and this particular watch is a great value! I highly recommend this simply perfect and beautiful watch.

5 stars!!! Just what I was looking for!

This watch was just what I needed! Elastic bands had become too tight on my wrist and added to problems I was having. Quality is excellent as would be expected from Timex! The indigo light is an added bonus. Very nice watch for anyone! Easy to read quickly.

Perfect EXCEPT for the Noise

My ideals for a watch are: full numerals, easy to read (good contrast and numbers, lines for the minutes and hours), light up function, case under 33mm, swappable bands, and preferably cute, in either silver color or rose gold color.
This one checks all the boxes... And is the only one I've found which does. You can see on the picture that I replaced the band.
Now here's the problem... The watch is LOUD! The analog watch I'm replacing is entirely quiet except when brought to the ear. This one... I hear it from feet away. My husband hears it from feet away too. I've tried two of the same model and they're equally loud. It gets distracting for me. Not at night, as the blankets mute it up, but during the day. Holding my phone typing this up, or during work, conversations... even when driving I hear it over the engine and traffic noise, because the driving position brings it closer to me, tick tick tick tick. It's impressive how that sound can carry.
I've read on the internet a few people saying they improved the noise of their Timex watches by removing the hand that does the seconds. I love having it but I might just get desperate enough to try this little operation. This is the perfect watch for me except for that problem. So sad.
(EDIT: I did end up trying to remove the seconds hand. It did quiet down the watch. Unfortunately, I also broke the watch in the process of putting it back together. I've decided to cut my losses and I'm now wearing a Fossil Carlie Mini (roughly $100, and available on Amazon, entirely quiet). Doesn't light up or have full numerals but what can you do. I wear a cheap digital that can light up at night and make do.)

Love it

This is a great simple watch. It fits my wrist well and is very comfortable. I really like the champagne/pink band along with the rose gold face. I didn’t realize if you push the button on the side of the face that it lights up for easy reading in the dark. Nice detail! Feels like really good quality! I hope it lasts me a long time.
