The HPE 1950 Switch Series delivers smart web-managed Gigabit Ethernet with versatile 10-Gigabit uplinks, purpose-built for advanced small business networks that demand reliable performance from servers, storage, and workgroup devices. The HPE 1950-48G-2SFP+-2XGT Switch is a standard model in this family, offering a dense port layout and flexible 10G uplinks without PoE support. With 48 Gigabit Ethernet ports, plus two 10G SFP+ uplinks and two 10GBASE-T copper ports, this switch gives you ample connectivity for desktops, NAS/SAN storage, virtualized workloads, and edge access, while keeping management simple through a web-based GUI and CLI. Whether you’re consolidating a dispersed office network or expanding a compact data center edge, this switch is designed to deliver predictable performance, straightforward configuration, and scalable networking for today and tomorrow. The 1950 series is known for its reliability, ease of use, and enterprise-grade features packaged in a compact form factor that fits neatly into 19" racks or desk-mounted deployments. While HP’s PoE+ models live alongside these standard switches, this particular unit is optimized for organizations that need abundant port density and robust uplinks without PoE on individual access ports, making it an excellent choice for storage connectivity, server clustering, and high-speed uplink to the core network. With support for IPv4 and IPv6, VLANs, QoS, ACLs, and link aggregation, the HPE 1950-48G-2SFP+-2XGT is engineered to simplify deployment, tighten security, and improve network efficiency right from deployment day.

  • High port density with versatile uplinks: 48x 10/100/1000 RJ-45 ports combined with 2 x 10Gb SFP+ uplinks and 2 x 10GbBASE-T ports give you flexible, future-ready connectivity for servers, storage arrays, and core links. This design enables you to scale traffic to virtualization hosts, high-speed backups, and shared storage without needing immediate edge upgrades.
  • Smart web-managed features for easier administration: The HP 1950 series provides an intuitive web-based interface along with CLI access, offering essential Layer 2 features such as VLANs (802.1Q), QoS for traffic prioritization, ACLs for security, and precise port security controls. Day-to-day management is straightforward, reducing the need for dedicated networking staff in smaller teams.
  • Robust uplinks for performance and resilience: The combination of 2 SFP+ uplinks and 2 10GBASE-T ports enables fast, scalable connections to your core network, servers, and storage solutions. This design supports high-bandwidth workloads, server clustering, and rapid data transfer, while maintaining low latency for critical applications.
  • Non-PoE design with flexible deployment: As a standard model, this switch provides dependable Gigabit access and 10G uplinks without PoE on access ports, making it a budget-friendly choice for networks that don’t require power over Ethernet on end devices. If PoE is needed, HP offers PoE+ variants in the same family to suit different edge device requirements.
  • Reliable for small business environments with scalable networking: Built to support small and growing networks, the 1950-48G-2SFP+-2XGT accommodates changing topology—whether you’re expanding to new offices, integrating virtualization hosts, or extending storage connectivity—while keeping management and troubleshooting straightforward.

Setting up the HPE 1950-48G-2SFP+-2XGT is a straightforward process that can be completed in a few steps, allowing you to bring your network online quickly and securely:

  • Plan and prepare: Assess your network topology, decide which ports will connect to servers, storage, workstations, and uplinks to the core network. Confirm the placement in a suitable rack location or on a stable shelf, ensuring adequate ventilation for reliable operation.
  • Physical installation: Mount the switch in a 19" rack or place it on a sturdy surface. Connect the power supply to a reliable electrical outlet and power it on. Verify that all cooling vents are unobstructed and that fans are functioning properly.
  • Initial connectivity: Connect critical devices to the 48 Gigabit ports and attach your two 10Gb SFP+ uplinks and two 10GBASE-T ports to the core switch or distribution layer. Use quality copper or fiber cables appropriate for your environment to ensure stable links.
  • Access the management interface: On first boot, connect a PC to the switch’s management path via a management port or one of the Ethernet access ports, then open the web-based GUI or connect via SSH/CLI. Use the default login credentials provided by HP and update to secure, unique credentials immediately.
  • Configure for your environment: Create VLANs to segment traffic, set up QoS policies to prioritize latency-sensitive workloads, enable ACLs to protect management and user traffic, and configure LACP if you plan to aggregate links to the core or to servers. Save your configuration and perform a basic connectivity test—verify reachability between devices, test storage throughput, and confirm that uplinks are carrying traffic as expected.

I’m a little disappointed.
Format: Kindle
I usually like Jillian West’s books but this one was missing a lot for me. The pregnancy didn’t come across as real. She’s on her feet for 12 hour days but is perfectly healthy at 8 months pregnant? Yet the week she moves in all of a sudden she’s not? She is planning on actually running during one of the plot buildups. But at 8 months pregnant that’s incredibly hard to do. The lack of breathing ability and lung space, the change in body center, mass, and gravity. All of it prohibits running, unless you’re an athlete this didn’t come off as at all realistic. I didn’t feel any connection with the alphas. There wasn’t any emotional connection. It could be because of the tense it was written in. But I didn’t get any deep feelings out of this. It came across as checking off boxes. Even the spicy scenes weren’t really believable for me. I wanted to see them fall for her, and it just kind of all fizzled. Even Bishop. One thing I did really like was the ending. I did not see it coming and I’m interested in reading book two because of it. But on the whole this book was mostly disappointing for me.

Vale is an 8 month pregnant omega working as a waitress at a strip club and a cam girl. She starts to get very creepy vibes from a regular at the club, and her baby daddy ghosted her. She has had an online relationship with a man named Bishop through her cam girl status. One night, bishop was paying to watch her sleep and ansthe creepy regular Andrew break in and watch her sleep he tells vale to come to him at his business now. She flees and finds herself at a large security company with some.hot of alphas who are there to help her. This imegaverse is a little different than I have read, but I am thoroughly enjoying it. Vale is not a traditional omega she was raised by a single beta mom, and the alphas are not normal alphas they have never really loved pack life. But they are ruthless mercenaries. They need her, and she needs them. I love the aspect of the stalker and now the plot twists at the end, so so good. Sometimes, it seemed a little slow and stale mated, but since this a duet, I think It was just her starting to have Vale get to know her alpha suitors. Cliffhanger for sure with this one.

That ending 😫
Format: Kindle
I fell into a false sense of security and really thought this was gearing towards a happy ending. Then I realized there’s no work they don’t punish Andrew. I really liked Vale’s character. I don’t normally read books with pregnancy but going into this knowing she was pregnant made it more enjoyable for me. I loved Bishops devotion to her and her happiness. I also loved that Holt and Mercy couldn’t fight their attraction to her. I love scent matches so very much. I’m so curious to see how this duet will end up. And I need to pay more attention and notice that a book I’m starting is a duet to begin with lol

This should be interesting! She’s gonna run and then what’s his face is gonna grab her. I’m worried! Wow that was a great book and cliffhanger! Loving this!

Wow.

Okay I’m usually not one for stand-alone’s I’m an avid series reader but my goodness am I so happy I read this! This story was brilliant & so absolutely mesmerizing. I loved reading about each character and their struggles as well as what helped them to move forward. The ending definitely brought tears to my eyes so hard. I truly wasn’t expecting some of what happened in this story. There is about to be a spoiler I am going to reveal so please stop reading if you don’t want the spoiler !!!! ⚠️ ⛔️ ‼️ I loved that the author didn’t do what most authors do with irredeemable male characters. I truly was hoping that Nate Jr. would be apart of the pack after the way he treated Astrea bc he truly didn’t deserve it. Though I must say you did a wonderful job or redeeming him as a person. I cried my eyes out when he walked into the story. I was truly terrified he was going to be a bad guy to the end. However you truly did him such a justice by having him realize his faults & having him redeem himself in the most wonderful way. I’m so sad that he didn’t get to hear how much his brother loved him & forgave him before dying. But again you wrote that ending so beautifully & I just can’t express how much I loved this story & how you took a different route than most authors I have read have. You are a remarkable author Cinder Blaze & I thank you generously for creating such a masterpiece.
