Under normal conditions, it is suitable for fences up to 0.5 km. With a maximum output voltage of 9600 volts and a charging energy of 0.17 J (0.12 J pulse), it keeps horses, cattle, sheep, goats, and hobby animals safely in their pasture.
Very energy-efficient with long battery life
The BA20 consumes an average of only 24 mA, so a 55 Ah 9V battery lasts up to three months. With a 210 Ah 9V battery, it can even operate for up to ten months. A LED indicator flashes with every pulse to show that the fence is in on power. When the 9V battery is nearly empty, the BA20 automatically goes into a conservation mode. You will then hear the device ticking more slowly.
Weatherproof design for reliable use
The BA20 is built to withstand all weather influences for an long period. A robust IPX4 splash-proof casing and integrated lightning protection ensure that the device continues to perform in rain, frost, and thunderstorms. Installation requires just one earth stake of 0.5 m. The supplied cable set for connection to the fence clicks into place in seconds, after which you immediately have power on the wire.
Portable and flexible with 9V battery or 12V rechargeable battery
With a weight of just about 1.6 kg and a sturdy carrying handle, you can effortlessly take the BA20 from field to field—ideal for pastures where mains power is not available. The choice between a 9V disposable battery or rechargeable 12V battery gives you full freedom. If you wish to use the BA20 with a 12V battery, you need to purchase a separate cable set (005499).
