When: Wednesday, May 6th from 5:00 to 6:00 pm
Where: Sow True Seed - 243 Haywood Street Asheville 28801
Course Description:
In this workshop, you’ll learn how to build a regenerative kitchen garden that actually produces food by working with natural systems instead of against them. We’ll cover how to create living soil through composting and closed-loop fertility, design a garden layout that supports productivity and ease, and choose crops and planting strategies that keep your garden producing throughout the season.
You’ll walk away with a clear understanding of how to start (or refine) your garden in a way that builds soil, reduces inputs, and creates long-term abundance. Many gardens struggle not because of effort, but because of poor design and depleted soil.
Perfect for beginners and intermediate gardeners who want a more resilient, productive, and regenerative approach to growing food and contributing to the planet.
Instructor Bio:
Jonny Roberts is a passionate gardener with over a decade of hands-on experience. His journey began in a community garden in Wisconsin and has since taken him across the country studying organic farming, permaculture, and sustainable living.
Now based in Weaverville, Jonny is the founder of the Radical Gardening School, where he teaches people how to transform their spaces into ecologically rich, food-producing gardens.
Through his work, he is dedicated to helping others build regenerative systems that grow real food, restore the soil, and create long-term resilience.
