Experience enterprise-grade memory built for reliability and performance with Kingston's 64GB DDR5 SDRAM module. Designed for servers, workstations, and high-end PCs, this 64 GB DIMM delivers the speed and capacity needed to support virtualization, large databases, real-time analytics, and memory-intensive workloads. DDR5 technology brings higher bandwidth and improved efficiency, while Kingston's ECC and Registered design ensures data integrity and system stability under demanding workloads. Whether you're upgrading a data center server, a powerful motherboard-based workstation, or a compute-heavy enterprise deployment, this memory module helps you achieve faster response times, better multitasking, and more headroom for future growth. With Kingston, you gain a trusted foundation for mission-critical applications, reduced downtime, and a scalable path to meet tomorrow's demands.

  • Massive 64GB per module with DDR5-4800 speed: This module is engineered to handle memory-hungry workloads, enabling virtualization hosts to run more virtual machines, databases to cache hot data, and analytics pipelines to process larger datasets in real time. The 64GB per DIMM configuration reduces the total number of modules needed for your memory footprint, optimizing rack density and simplifying BIOS configurations. Paired with DDR5-4800 (PC5-38400) bandwidth, you gain higher data throughput while maintaining an efficient voltage profile, which translates to faster application response, quicker in-memory analytics, and smoother multi-user operation even under peak demand. In server environments, this means improved consolidation ratios and reduced I/O bottlenecks, helping you extract more performance per watt from your server hardware.
  • ECC and Registered design for reliability: Built for mission-critical environments, this Kingston memory features error-correcting code (ECC) and a registered memory buffer. ECC detects and corrects single-bit errors on the fly, reducing the risk of data corruption and silent failures. Registered memory buffers help stabilize high-speed memory transfers by reducing the electrical load on the memory controller, which is especially important in multi-socket servers and systems with large memory footprints. This combination translates to improved uptime, fewer crashes during large batch jobs, and more predictable performance under sustained workloads. For applications like virtualization, databases, and real-time data processing, the added reliability can significantly lower maintenance windows and operational risk.
  • DDR5-4800 CL40 at 1.10V plus dual-rank architecture: The module operates at 1.10 volts to optimize power efficiency while delivering robust performance. The CL40 CAS latency, while typical for server-grade DDR5, is designed to balance timing with throughput when paired with modern CPUs and memory controllers. The dual-rank design further enhances memory bandwidth and capacity, enabling tighter interleaving and better utilization of the memory bus in busy servers or workstation configurations. This translates to smoother data access patterns, lower latency for memory-bound workloads, and improved performance consistency under spiky demand.
  • 288-pin DIMM form factor for broad compatibility: This Kingston module uses the standard 288-pin DIMM package compatible with a wide range of servers, motherboards, and enterprise-grade hardware that support ECC DDR5 memory. Its form factor makes it straightforward to drop into compatible slots, whether you’re upgrading a single server node or populating a multi-node cluster. When planning an upgrade, verify motherboard and CPU support for ECC DDR5, as well as the maximum memory speed and rank options. Properly matched modules in dual-channel or multi-channel configurations yield the best throughput and stability for enterprise workloads.
  • Enterprise-grade reliability, compatibility, and warranty: Kingston is renowned for quality and consistent performance in data-center contexts. This 64GB DDR5 ECC Registered module is designed for 24/7 operation with robust tolerance to voltage fluctuations and temperature variations often encountered in data centers. It’s built to withstand the rigors of continuous workloads, and Kingston typically backs its memory with solid warranty and support, providing peace of mind for IT teams managing critical infrastructure. Whether you’re refreshing aging servers, expanding capacity for growth, or deploying virtualization clusters, Kingston memory helps you maintain reliability and uptime while simplifying maintenance and replacement planning.

How to Install Kingston 64GB DDR5 SDRAM Memory Module

Follow these best-practice steps to install with minimal downtime and ensure proper seating and ongoing reliability. Preparing the system and handling components correctly helps protect memory integrity and system stability.

  • Power down and ground yourself: Turn off the system, unplug from the wall, and discharge any static by touching a grounded metal object. Remove all cables and, if applicable, unplug any cooling or airflow components that might obstruct access to the memory slots.
  • Access memory slots: Open the chassis or server access panel to reveal the motherboard. Locate the correct memory slots and release any retaining clips. For multi-slot configurations, consult the motherboard or server manual to determine the optimal slots for best performance (often guided by dual-channel or multi-channel memory configurations).
  • Orient and insert the module: Hold the module by the edges and align the notch with the slot key. Insert the DIMM straight into the slot with even pressure, ensuring both ends seat securely. You should hear a distinct click as the latches engage, securing the module in place.
  • Confirm seating and configuration: Confirm that the module is fully seated and the latches are locked. If installing in a multi-slot configuration, ensure additional modules follow the recommended population order for the motherboard. Enter the BIOS/UEFI to verify the memory is detected at the correct speed and rank configuration.
  • Power on and test stability: Reassemble any panels, reconnect power, and boot the system. Run a memory diagnostic test (MemTest86 or your server’s built-in diagnostic tool) to verify the module is recognized and operating at the rated DDR5-4800 speed. Monitor for errors or instability during the initial workload tests.
  • Monitor and maintain: After deployment, monitor memory performance, temperature, and system stability during typical workloads. Keep firmware and BIOS updated to ensure compatibility and access to the latest memory profiles and error-correcting enhancements.

Frequently Asked Questions

  • Q: What does ECC Registered memory mean for my server? A: ECC provides error-correcting code to detect and correct single-bit errors, protecting data integrity. Registered memory adds a buffer to stabilize high-speed signaling and reduce load on the memory controller, which is particularly valuable in servers and systems with large memory configurations.
  • Q: Is 64GB per module sufficient for server workloads? A: For many virtualization, database, and memory-intensive workloads, 64GB per module offers substantial headroom. The overall capacity depends on the number of modules installed and the motherboard’s supported memory configuration. For dense virtualization or large-scale databases, combining multiple 64GB modules often yields the best balance of capacity and performance.
  • Q: Can I use this module in a consumer PC? A: This module is designed for ECC, registered DDR5 memory used in servers and professional workstations. Many consumer motherboards do not support ECC or registered memory, so compatibility should be verified with the motherboard’s documentation before use in non-server systems.
  • Q: What performance can I expect? A: The module is rated for DDR5-4800 with CL40 latency at 1.10V. Real-world performance depends on the system’s CPU memory controller, BIOS/UEFI settings, and memory configuration (single, dual, or multi-channel). You may see optimal performance when using matched modules in supported slots and enabling appropriate memory profiles.
  • Q: Is Kingston memory covered by warranty? A: Kingston typically provides a limited warranty for its memory modules, with terms varying by region. Check the product packaging or Kingston’s official website for the exact warranty duration and coverage in your location.

I wouldn’t recommend this for strong chewers.
Color: Orange, Color: Orange
Is it fun? Sure. Was it easy to charge and set up? Yep. That being said, this toy kind of fell flat for me. It really didn’t do any big movements once charged that I expected it to, so that was a bummer. I initially got it for my dog, but my cats were more interested in this than my dog was. The battery does seem to last a long time and the motor is pretty quiet. I WOULD NOT recommend this toy for strong chewers as the material for this is a foam rubber and I don’t think it’s durable enough for strong chewers. While the material makes this ball extremely lightweight for more movement, a strong chewer would have this disintegrated in five minutes flat. My Dog is a super strong chewer. I don’t think I would feel comfortable leaving him unattended with this because I know he would destroy it.

Well-designed and quiet, but didn’t keep my dog interested
Color: Blue
My dog was interested in this at first, but she would lose interest after a few minutes and move on. I do like that it’s quieter than the hard plastic ball toys, and the charge lasts well. The internal charging port that twists closed is also a nice design feature. That said, it will occasionally turn on by itself, which can be a little surprising. Overall, it has some nice features, but it just didn’t keep my dog engaged.

Good - for a few hours
Color: Blue, Color: Blue
Concept is fantastic. Dog loved it. Problem is that she figured out how to open it within two hours of play. The robot core, alas, did not survive. In the photo, you see a tooth went cleanly into the button and that was the end of the toy.
