Open the cap and moderately humidify the insert with distilled water only.

Close and allow to stabilize for a few minutes. Check the hygrometer in the cap — target 65 to 72% RH.

Slide 1 to 4 cigars, ensuring no direct contact with the humidifier insert.

Check the side window to verify contents. Rehydrate as soon as the level consistently drops below 65%.

Distilled water only: never use tap water in the integrated humidifier — minerals will calcify the insert and reduce its diffusion capacity. Check the hygrometer weekly when traveling for extended periods. Wipe the inside of the tube with a clean, dry cloth if needed.
Avoid direct cigar/insert contact: do not let your cigars directly touch the humidifier insert — excessively strong localized humidity can soak the wrapper and affect the draw. Always place cigars away from the insert. For Churchill and long formats (>170 mm), the actual capacity is 2 to 3 cigars depending on diameter.

What is the actual capacity of the Sentinelle Quattro?
The Sentinelle Quattro can hold 1 to 4 cigars depending on their length and gauge. For Corona or Robusto formats (diameter less than 20 mm, length less than 140 mm), the capacity is 3 to 4 cigars. For Churchill or long Torpedo formats (length greater than 170 mm), the actual capacity is 2 to 3 cigars. The side window allows you to check the arrangement without opening the tube.
How does the integrated humidifier work?
Open the cap of the tube and moderately humidify the insert with distilled water only — never tap water. Close and allow to stabilize for a few minutes. The insert releases consistent humidity inside the cylinder. Check the hygrometer in the cap — the recommended target is 65 to 72% RH. Re-humidify as soon as the level consistently drops below 65%.
Does aluminum alter the aromas of cigars?
No — the machined aluminum of the Sentinelle Quattro does not transfer odors and does not react with tobacco leaves. It is one of the most neutral materials for cigar preservation in transit. The only precaution to observe: avoid any direct contact between the cigars and the humidifier insert, which could create excessively strong localized humidity.
Which finish to choose from the 6 variants?
All finishes offer exactly the same performance — same machined aluminum, same hygrometer, same humidifier, same window. The choice is purely aesthetic. Striated Silver and Striated Onyx for a classic and timeless style. Checkerboard Gold and Striated Azure for a more assertive character. Is the Sentinelle Quattro compatible with Gordo cigars (60 ring gauge)?
The useful opening of the Sentinelle Quattro is approximately 47 mm in diameter. Gordo cigars with a 60 ring gauge measure 23.8 mm — two Gordos side by side (47.6 mm) would be just at the limit. In practice, 1 to 2 Gordos depending on their exact diameter. For thinner formats (50 ring gauge and below), the capacity of 3 to 4 cigars is easily achieved.

I had this same model a long time ago and it lasted forever, I only had to get a new one because I lost the USB receiver, so I know for a fact they are very durable. For the price, you can't beat the compatibility you just plug it in and it works instantly. The appearance is very simple, it's not the most attractive or pretty keyboard since it has no lighting or fancy features, but it's built to last. The noise level is fine for a membrane keyboard, not too loud. In terms of ergonomics, it feels comfortable enough for daily work and the color is just the standard black that goes with everything. The best part is the battery life, it lasts months without needing a change.
