作者 / 繪者
卡莉 •珀西瓦爾 (Kari Percival)
一位獲獎作家、插畫家，曾任科學課程的教師。插畫風格植根於她長達二十多年來的雕刻和木刻版畫作品。為 2017 年新英格蘭童書作家與插畫家協會（SCBWI）導師計畫得主，芝加哥藝術學院的藝術學士和安提阿（Antioch）大學的教育和環境科學碩士。無論是在教室或社區花園，生態學一直是她最喜歡教授的主題。作品著重於科學教育、探索自然與兒童參與環境議題等。
在她的大學鄰近，哈里斯保育教育中心（Harris Center forConservation Education）就是負責主導全國最大規模的兩棲動物穿越道路保護計劃之一。
她與丈夫和兩個孩子住在美國波士頓郊外一個神奇的瀑布附近。下雨天她會從水坑裡救出蚯蚓（因為當蚯蚓扭動求救時，她根本無法視而不見）。
