The EAW SB528zR is a high-output, 1400W passive subwoofer designed to deliver deep, impactful bass for the most demanding professional applications. As part of EAW's prestigious SB series, the SB528zR features dual 18-inch drivers housed in a vented, optimally tuned enclosure, delivering low-frequency extension and high output typically associated with much larger subwoofers. This versatile, large-format subwoofer is ideal for both portable and permanent installations, providing the deep, "fatter" bass sound desired in applications such as concert touring, large houses of worship, arenas, f/x reinforcement, cinemas, large auditoriums, and large dance clubs. Its compact size relative to its power output makes it suitable for installations where space is limited but bass impact is critical.

The SB528zR is engineered for high-performance, with two 18-inch drivers that handle up to 1000W of continuous power (AES) each. The direct radiating design ensures that the subwoofer produces clean, powerful bass without distortion. Its operating frequency range of 27 Hz to 147 Hz ensures extended low-end reproduction that complements a wide variety of full-range loudspeakers. The subwoofer achieves impressive SPL levels, including an average SPL of 129 dB (whole space) and 135 dB (peak, whole space), and 135 dB (average) and 141 dB (peak) in half space. This level of output makes it well-suited for large-scale applications, providing plenty of punch for bass-heavy events or sound installations that require high levels of dynamic impact.

Designed with flexibility in mind, the SB528zR can be configured for either single-amp or dual-amp operation, allowing it to be used in a variety of system setups. The nominal impedance is 4 ohms per driver, with a minimum of 3.9 ohms at 131 Hz, ensuring compatibility with most professional amplifiers. For optimized low-frequency performance, EAW recommends using their MX Series processors for proper crossover and equalization. The recommended high-pass filter at 25 Hz with a 12 dB/octave Butterworth slope ensures that the subwoofer operates within its ideal frequency range while protecting the drivers from unwanted frequencies. The subwoofer is designed to operate reliably even in the most challenging conditions, handling up to 1400W of power and delivering consistent performance for the long term.

The SB528zR's robust construction includes an enclosure made of Baltic birch plywood, which enhances both durability and resonance control, ensuring that the subwoofer performs optimally over time. The wear-resistant textured black paint finish provides a sleek and professional appearance, while the powder-coated perforated steel grille protects the drivers from damage while maintaining optimal sound dispersion. With dimensions of 30.19 x 50.69 x 24.56 inches and a weight of 215 lbs, the SB528zR is a substantial subwoofer that delivers the bass performance needed in large venues and demanding environments. Its 360-degree coverage ensures that bass is evenly distributed throughout the space, making it ideal for large venues or events where consistent bass reproduction is required across the entire listening area.

Beta, Alpha, Omega oh my!
Format: Kindle
Omegas are precious and given to Alphas & their packs... but the Betas want in too. To this end, the Beta government is rolling out its trial of assigning a Beta to each Alpha-Omega pack. But forcing a Beta into a pack where they are not wanted will not end well... Of course, no one expected the Omega to fall for the assigned Beta. Great read and cliffhanger

A familiar story, just with…..less.
Format: Kindle
So, as other reviewers make clear, this is very similar to Pack Darling and The Beta. It’s much closer aligned with The Beta, in plot and maybe more like Pack Darling with characters. That being said, I don’t hate this…..but it wasn’t great either. It’s both books mentioned but just….less. Less angst, less emotion, less feeling. The plot feels very half fleshed out, and the “bad guy” feels underwhelming. I didn’t really feel any real emotions from and of the male leads, except maybe Oliver. The others fell sorta flat for me. And Mika makes herself out to be this big bad ass straight outta training and then we never see it from here again with the one fitting room incident as the exception. SPOILER: The whole, “Oh, I’m actually probably an Omega, but I don’t wanna be but I do actually wanna be but no one can ever know my secret that I do nothing to hide “ thing fell so flat. She never commutes to believing she was secretly an omega, but also mentions her “secret” a lot. It just felt so manufactured. I’m intrigued enough to read part 2 and see how the author closes everything out, but this is not one I’ll recommend or ever come back to.

Good start to a series
Format: Kindle
I delayed reading the series for reasons I don’t remember. But my TBR list is huge so I thought I’d take a shot of this and I was pleasantly surprised. I didn’t think the blurb about it was anything special. But it was a very good book. It took some interesting twists and turns. I am so glad the second book is already out. Because I would not have waited patiently. Very slow burn but good storyline. 🔥🔥/5

A good read
Format: Kindle
Multiple points of view. 3 Alpha men and an Omega male. She is a Beta in training for a new program placing betas in Alpha/Omega packs. Mila is only doing the program for the money to take care of her dad. She wasn't expecting to fall for a pack but when she sees this packs Omega she is done for. There is just something about him. His Alphas are good looking as well. Too bad she is hiding a secret and their government is acting shady. I liked it and can't wait to see where their story goes.

Slightly repetitive but I did love some things
Format: Kindle
I love this type of story. And omegaverse is one of my all time favorite genres. But there are a few things that pulled me out of my enjoyment while I was reading. It was repetitive at times as well as struggled with telling not showing. So we didn’t always feel like we were experiencing things with the main character. There were also some plot holes but they may still be answered in part 2. Now this isn’t to be said I didn’t enjoy parts of the story. I loved the almost instant love between Mila and Oliver. And how he started changing around her.
