Al naso si rivela, fin da subito, ampio e ricco; si esprime, in particolare, con sentori di frutta in confettura, note di sottobosco, toni speziati e cenni di liquirizia e tabacco. Al palato si presenta pieno e denso; i tannini sono vellutati e ben integrati e la persistenza è ottima.Il Taurasi DOCG "Naturalis Historia" di Mastroberardino nasce da uve provenienti da un vigneto di oltre 40 anni, allevato a circa 400 metri sul livello del mare. Affinato, per 24 mesi, in barrique, e poi, dopo l’imbottigliamento, altri 30 in vetro, è un vino generoso al naso e importante e austero al palato; longevo e di grande struttura, rappresenta l’Irpinia, terra antica e tenebrosa, che Virgilio definì: “Terra gelosa dei suoi tanti misteri”.
Ottimo in abbinamento alle carni rosse, in umido e alla griglia, si sposa bene anche con il risotto ai funghi e la selvaggina.

A Disaster, Don’t Buy 8-in-1 Set

A Disaster. Can only give this 8-in-1 gift set one star. The electric aerator has a mind of its own. The second time it was used, an hour after the first pour, it then decided to start pouring on its own, drenching the counter and floor with wine until my wife and I figured out what was going on and got up to try to shut it off. It wouldn’t shut off and had to be pulled out of the wine bottle still running on its own. Half of a very good bottle of wine was wasted. It never did shut off. Had to be thrown in the trash outside still running. Funny now as I describe it, but not funny at all when it happened. The rest of the set so far is working well. If you have to buy this brand, please don’t buy the set with the electric aerator. It's fully automatic all right, but that’s a very very bad thing.
