Why have your wheels built instead of buying factory-built wheels?
Good question, sometimes it is a simple matter of it being the most practical solution to a problem. For example, you crashed on your brand new bike and dented the rim. Most likely your hub is still in good shape and it doesn't make sense to buy a whole new wheel. We can order you a new rim and lace your current hub to the new rim and have you up and riding in no time!
In other cases, you may want to upgrade your current wheelset. Maybe you are constantly breaking spokes or you just want a stronger or more performance-oriented wheelset. When a wheelset is built for you we take time to understand how and where you ride. This allows us to provide you with plenty of options that suit your unique riding needs.
When your wheels are hand-built you pick and choose rim material and specifications, the type spokes and nipples, as well as what kind of hub you want to run. Of course, we can also add some custom flair like anodized hubs, nipples, and even spokes.
Whether your goal is speed, strength, serviceability, or anything in between we can accommodate your needs.
We build our wheels to uncompromising standards using high precision tools and provide follow-up service after the initial bed-in period.
