Seven years of meticulous research and development have culminated in the Vandoren VK1. The company’s first synthetic reed is constructed from a patented composite material. However, Vandoren notes this all-new material isn’t intended to mimic a cane reed; instead, it’s designed to reproduce the essential physical characteristics and achieve the same acoustic qualities as cane. And because the VK1 is synthetic, you no longer have to grapple with the natural inconsistencies of cane. Each reed — and the material from which it is made — is constructed with the utmost care in Vandoren’s Bormes les Mimosas workshop in southern France. Audition a Vandoren VK1 reed and experience the way it enhances your saxophone’s sound.

All-new material plus an all-new strength system

Vandoren is no stranger to the concept of innovation. The vaunted company’s VK1 reeds bypass the traditional half-strength system to classify reed strength. Instead, VK1 reeds divide each strength by thirds. This heightened division, corresponding to sixths of a cane reed's strength, allows you to achieve a more fine-tuned feel than any other reed on the market — whether cane or synthetic.

Fully recyclable design

Environmental responsibility is something for everyone to be mindful of. The company’s VK1 reeds are built to be recycled, not thrown away like standard synthetic reeds. VK1 reeds are made from a patented, proprietary composite material developed by Vandoren. Not only does the composite material accurately reproduce the physical and acoustic characteristics of a traditional reed, the VK1 is fully recyclable. By engaging in a culture of recycling, Vandoren’s VK1 reeds help you make music while making a positive impact on the planet and its people.

Not an accurate book for a true spiritual seeker.
Format: Paperback
Don't waste your money. Once I read the 3rd eye may appear as the eye of Sauron from Lord of the rings, and all you have to do is cross your eyes and Boom there it is, I stopped wasting my time. All I received was a headace and major strain. After studying Kriya Yoga and what I've learned through the practices regarding the 3rd eye I just couldn't continue. You can read this in an hour or so. It's speaks of affirmations, mantras that's all good. If your just starting this journey I wouldnt recommend this. Look for books written by paramahansa yogananda, just my opinion and what worked miracles for me. This book was a gift or Id return. Again just my opion, if it helps you wonderful, I wouldn't pay .50 cents for this book.

I can sum up this whole book in a single paragraph
Format: Paperback
Every other page is a stock picture from wherever; while the message and practice are helpful, this should have been a pamphlet instead of a book -remember Cliffsnotes? Look at the author photo in the back of the book and consider it for a moment, what does your gut tell you? Hopefully you too can glean something from it.
