About The National Technics EPS 270SR

Audio Trends can help you with a high quality replacement stylus. Note, we don't call them needles! That's is what was used to play 78's on the old gramophones. Our range of styli (plural for stylus) suits both old and new cartridges and it would be rare if we couldn't provide you a solution.

The National Technics EPS 270SR stylus features a highly polished Spherical Diamond for long playing life, excellent tracing of record grooves and superb rendition of voice and music. The stylus is made by the world's largest manufacturer of generic styli who have an excellent reputation for making accurate and great sounding products.

Compatibility: The Technics SLD-3 turntable originally came with an EPC-270C phono cartridge and Panasonic Technics EPS-270D EPS 270D EPS270D stylus which were all Spherical tips. This replacement also has a Spherical tip.

Caution: DO NOT order this stylus if it looks different from what you have. It will not fit if the original cartridge is missing or has been changed. Please contact us if you need assistance or prefer to purchase a new cartridge.

What Is The Stylus

The stylus is connected to a little piece at the end of the tonearm called the phono cartridge. The stylus is a small metal tube  underneath the cartridge as the stylus or needle. It is a crucial part of the phono cartridge as this is the only part that touches the record groove. In most cartridges particularly Moving Magnet types, the stylus is user replaceable. In moving coil designs, the whole cartridge needs to be replaced or sent back to the factory for re-tipping. Some including Ortofon offer a change-over service which means you trade-in your old model for the same or better.

The stylus is actually made up of three parts. There is (1) the stylus itself which is usually a diamond, although there are both man-made and natural diamonds in use. The stylus is (2) mounted at the end of a short arm called a cantilever that 'moves' as the stylus traces the record groove. The cantilever is fastened to (3) the phono cartridge.

Stylus Types: A stylus can come in a number of shapes and sizes. The best styli try to duplicate the shape of the cutting stylus used to produce the original master recording. For these types, you will see such terms as MicroLine, Fineline or MicroRidge.

Conical/Spherical Type: The conical/spherical stylus was until the mid 1980's the most widely used stylus. This was because it usually came as an original part of a standard turntable. It is the simplest and least expensive among all of the styli shapes. Its spherical tip, typically with a radius of 0.7 mm, touches the centre of the groove walls. The conical stylus can be found with lower to moderately priced turntables.

Elliptical Type: The elliptical stylus has two radii, with the front being wider than the side radius. Elliptical styli are available in several sizes, such as 0.2 x 0.7 mm, 0.3 x 0.7 mm and 0.4 x 0.7 mm. The first number is the side radius. The smaller the side radius, the better its music retrieval potential.

Shibata & Fineline Type: Another stylus that is reserved for the higher priced models is the Linear Contact (LC). This type of styli provides a vertical contact area several times more than that of the elliptical, thus enabling it to respond to minute grove modulations. Back in the late 1970's, the shibata type also became popular. It was designed for CD-4/quadraphonic records, but performs brilliantly on stereo records.

The Future

For older cartridges, it may be advisable to purchase at least two replacement styli. Manufacturers have been phasing out many replacement styli through the years and so the next time you need one for your older cartridge you may not be able to find it.

4 for world
Format: Kindle
So I’m giving a 4 Star more so probably because I love the world and the original shatter me series. This particular book was fine it wasn’t bad but I also felt like nothing really happened either. If that makes sense. I don’t regret reading or buying at all but just wished more happened within the story. Still obsessed with its Warner and Ella love theme 🥰

Great sequel
Format: Kindle
I liked that this book was fast paced and more background for the main characters was provided. I love the voice of this author as it is poetic, honest, and stirring. It drags a little bit towards the end but otherwise it is pretty good!

No plot or character progression.....
Format: Hardcover
Tahereh Mafi’s Release Me was a very mixed reading experience for me, landing at a solid 3 stars overall. While the book is undeniably entertaining and packed with action, it also suffers from major pacing and development issues that kept me from fully connecting with the story. The biggest highlight, without question, was the return of the original characters. Kenji and Warner absolutely carried this book from beginning to end. Their banter, personalities, and presence brought back the charm and emotional attachment that made the original series so addictive. Every scene involving them felt comforting and familiar, almost like coming home after being away for a long time. Juliette’s appearances and the dynamic between the older cast members were easily the strongest aspects of the novel. Unfortunately, I struggled heavily with Rosabelle and James. Their relationship felt repetitive and emotionally stagnant, with so much focus placed on their “doomed” and forbidden romance that it often overshadowed the larger conflict happening around them. There was constant back-and-forth between Rosabelle trying to escape, James making frustrating decisions, and Warner cleaning up the chaos. At times, it genuinely felt like the plot was moving in circles. What makes this book frustrating is that so much technically happens, yet by the end it somehow feels like nothing truly changed. Character arcs barely progressed, relationships remained in the exact same place they started, and several storylines felt oddly untouched. Juliette is still pregnant, we still know very little about what comes next for many of the characters, and even fan-favorite dynamics like Kenji and Nazeera barely received meaningful development. That said, I can’t deny that the book was compulsively readable. There were moments where I genuinely could not put it down because the pacing and action kept things moving quickly. The dialogue and humor between the characters carried much of the entertainment value, and the nostalgia factor played a huge role in keeping me invested. If I hadn’t already loved these characters from previous books, though, I honestly don’t think this story would have worked nearly as well for me. Ultimately, Release Me feels like the definition of “no plot, just vibes.” It’s entertaining, nostalgic, and full of beloved characters, but lacks the meaningful progression and emotional payoff I was hoping for. Fans of the original series will likely still enjoy revisiting this world, but readers looking for strong plot advancement or major character growth may leave feeling a little unsatisfied.

Perfect plumper for under eyes.
Color: Collagen
I absolutely love the moisturizing effect these have under my eyes. My undereye skin appears plumper making the fine lines show less for at least 5 hours. The skin also feels much softer. These are absolutely a great value for the money. I will be buying these again. Perfect for a morning you wake up with puffy eyes and need to get put together quick because they made my eyes look amazingly rested and took all the puffiness away in 10 mins.

I really like this product!
Color: Collagen
I tried these eye patches that stick right under the eyes, and overall they’re really convenient and easy to use. They adhere well to the skin without sliding around, which makes it simple to wear them while relaxing or getting ready. After using them, my under-eye area felt more hydrated and looked a bit brighter and less puffy. The cooling effect was also soothing, especially when I kept them in the fridge before applying. They didn’t cause any irritation, which is a big plus for sensitive skin.
