These were just a few of the many stars that shone during the heyday of the American sideshow, from 1840 to 1950. American Sideshow chronicles the lives of truly amazing performers, examining these brave and extraordinary curiosities not just as sideshow performers but as people, delving into the lives they led and the ways they were able to triumph over and even benefit from their abnormalities.
American Sideshow discusses the rise and fall of the original sideshows and their subsequent replacement by today's self-made freaks. With the progress of modern medicine, technological advancements, and the wonderful world of body modification, abnormalities are being overcome, treated and even prevented: Siamese twins can now be separated, and in addition to this, tongues can be forked, horns surgically implanted, and earlobes removed. There are also, of course, modern-day giants, fire eaters, sword swallowers, glass eaters, human blockheads, and oh, so much more.
These fascinating personalities are celebrated through intimate biographies paired with stunning photographs. Approximately two hundred performers from the past one hundred and sixty years are featured, giving readers a comprehensive and sometimes astonishing look into the history of the American sideshow

Waste of Money and Time
It’s useless buying this protection plan. They will not help you with your issue. They will refer you back to the seller. What’s the point of buying a protection plan when they refuse to help? I DO NOT recommend purchasing this plan. Total waste of money and time.

Quick and easy to file a claim & get resolution!
I bought a blender from Amazon about 18 months ago and at the same time, purchased the Asurion policy to cover it. The glass pitcher cracked last week and I filed a claim with Asurion. Having never used Asurion before, I wasn't sure what to expect but I was blown away by the ease and speed with which my claim was resolved.
Immediately after submitting the claim, Asurion sent a pre-paid shipping label with clear instructions on what to do next. After packing up the blender, taping the label on the front of the box (I had kept the original box the blender came in), and dropping the box off at the UPS location near me (Asurion's instructions included addresses for 2 drop-off locations in my tiny town), I had a refund in my email within hours. I was able to add the refund to my Amazon account simply by clicking on a button in the email and there it was, a credit in my Amazon account!
As I said earlier, I'm blown away by how easy it was to file my claim and get a refund. Asurion made the entire process so effortless! Since the blender I had purchased is no longer available, I ordered a different one from Amazon (it arrives today - yay!) and I can guarantee you that I also purchased the Asurion policy to cover it. Thank you, Asurion, for making the process so easy and the resolution so fast.

This is one of the best warranty companies out there.
I have had my warranties with Asurion for years, and they are one of the best warranty companies out there. When filing a claim, the process is very easy. I finished the entire process in less than 5 minutes. The service was amazing and the lay-out and appearance of the website was simple to use. The protection plan cost was reasonable.
