Cast using the traditional lost-wax method, this antique bronze lion fountain carries a warm brown and russet surface finish with darker recesses that suggest generations of natural weathering. The granular texture is not applied cosmetically; it emerges from the casting and hand-finishing process, giving the surface genuine depth and variation. Flanking pilasters with Ionic-style capitals, foliate cresting at the crown of the arch, and shell and scrollwork motifs across the basin are each resolved with the same care as the central lion mask.
