The deployable side steps are sensitive to obstructions and will not deploy in off road or low range settings.

Neatly stowed under the sills, the side steps automatically deploy as soon as the door is opened, or when activated by the key fob and stow automatically when the door is closed. The deployable side steps are sensitive to obstructions and will not deploy in off-road or low range settings. Automatic mode can be overridden to allow access to the roof when the doors are closed. These side steps are Satin Black aluminium step extrusions with a black moulded rubber mat, which is embossed with the iconic chequered design and the 'Defender' logo. Maximum load capacity of 270kg on each side of the vehicle. Kit includes right and left side steps, side step undershields, module and harness. Available on 110 only. The deployable side steps are compatible with front mudflaps and front classic mudflaps. Not compatible with fixed side steps or side tubes.
