The book contains nine engravings revealing how to unlock the Devil's portal. The painting shows a wise hermit cloaked in garments with a snake symbolizing resistance to temptation.  The key represents transformation, capable of "open or close." The hermit's lantern symbolizes truth, while its dim light signifies the subconscious.  The limited illumination reminds us not to solely pursue distant dreams while disregarding the truths around us. Since the lantern's light only reaches a short distance, no one can guarantee that it will lead to the right path.
