With An Upgraded, New England Style Handle

We honor the Acadians, those hearty French Canadians, who tamed the north woods of Maine and Eastern Canada, with our new half wedge axe.  Coming in at 2.75 lbs. and hung on a 30" Amish-turned hickory handle, it is a little beefier than our Allagash Cruiser so go ahead and tackle those bigger projects.

The difference from our Maine wedge pattern Allagash Cruiser can be seen in its thicker poll adding more power when splitting or chopping. 

In a nod to the Maine axe makers of the past, (and different than the stamp on our other axes) we stamped "Brant & Cochran S. Portland, ME" on the head.

And we just redesigned the handle to make the Acadian more comfortable to swing! A thinner, New England style handle turned to our design by an Amish community. 

Comes with a Maine-made leather sheath.
