If your child is beginning to read simple words but still needs plenty of practice, Stage 2 helps them take the next step without the wobble. Across 12 carefully sequenced books, children learn new sound patterns in real stories, so phonics does not feel like a drill — it feels like an adventure.
Each book introduces just enough challenge to keep progress moving. Children meet common digraphs (such as qu, th, sh, ch, igh, oa, and ee), plus early trigraphs (such as ear and air). The sentences are a little longer, the stories are a little richer, and the confidence boost can be enormous.
Because the books are decodable, children are not pushed into guessing from pictures or memorising whole words. Instead, they practise applying the phonics patterns they have been taught. That means more successful sounding-out, more fluent rereading, and fewer “I can’t do it” moments.
And because this is Mrs Wordsmith, the learning comes with oddball characters, funny twists, and enough silliness to keep young readers turning the pages.

Really like these for casual summer outfits

These are really nice kicks. Stylish, comfortable, and eye catchy for sure. Not too heavy, good price, and fit well. These are great, casual white shoes for a summer outfit.
I gave it 4 out of 5 stars as these do pick up and hold onto dirt and smudges more than I’d like to see. Yes, I know, white shoes are magnets for this stuff, but these tend to scuff and discolor more than I would have assumed. I live in an area with lots of bad weather most of the year so I only get a chance to wear them for a few months of the year unless I want to brave the wet and muddy weather. If you live in an area that has lots of sun and are willing to put these to the test and clean them often, I would say go for it.
