91 – 98 days. Halloween II pansy seeds are a stunning, compact, and “spooky” addition to grow in any home or garden. Halloween II seeds promise one of the most unique seasonal blooms of midnight black petals with a tight yellow center and soft purple accents. Halloween II pansies are durable and easy to grow from seed, ideal for indoor pots, planters, window boxes, or for a charming border around the flower bed. Halloween II pansy seeds are a cold-hardy bloom that thrives in a variety of temperate summertime gardens. 500 seeds.

Growing Halloween II Pansy Garden Seeds

  • Taxonomy: Viola x wittrockiana
  • Seed Type: Annual
  • Sow Indoors or Outdoors: Sow Halloween II pansy seeds indoors 12 – 14 weeks before the final frost. Pansies do not grow naturally in the wild and are not recommended for direct sowing. Maintain pansy seeds in complete darkness for germination then place beneath fluorescent grow lights for 16 hours per day with 8 hours of darkness. Harden-off seedlings before transplanting outside into shady and cool spot in the garden or comparable place indoors.
  • Days to Maturity: 91 – 98 days
  • Hardiness Zone: 4 – 10
  • Planting Depth: Plant 3 – 4 seeds ¼” deep
  • Plant Spacing: 6”
  • Growth Habit: 6 – 8” dwarf mound with a tidy 8 – 10” spread covered in huge 3” blooms
  • Soil Preference: Moist, hummus-rich, well-drained
  • Light Preference: Full sun – partial shade
  • Diseases/Pests/Troubleshooting: Avoid overhead watering to minimize wetting foliage as Halloween II pansy seeds are susceptible to fungal and leaf diseases if not properly ventilated. Halloween II pansies are a dwarfed 6 – 8” tall variety and should be planted on the south end of the garden to avoid being overshadowed. Pansies have no serious pests or diseases, but monitor regularly for slugs and snails.

Viola x wittrockiana is a hybrid resulting from tri-colored violas. The pansy only exists as a result of mass crossing and hybridizing of the viola during the 19th century and has never grown naturally in the wild. There is much debate and etymological red tape about interchanging the common terms “pansies”, “violas”, and “violets”. The species wittrockiana pays homage to 19th century pioneering botanist Veit Brecher Wittrock.

Epson SureColor F170 Dye-Sublimation Printer. Includes Full Set of Ink
I recently invested in the Epson SureColor F170 Dye-Sublimation Printer, and it has exceeded my expectations in every way. This printer is designed specifically for dye-sublimation printing, offering vibrant, high-quality prints with incredible color accuracy and sharp details. The setup was straightforward, and the included full set of ink made it easy to start printing immediately without any extra purchases. The inks produce bright, durable prints that work wonderfully on a variety of sublimation-compatible materials like fabric, ceramics, and metal. What I appreciate most is the compact design of the F170 — it fits comfortably on my workspace without taking up too much room. The printer operates quietly and efficiently, making it ideal for both small business and hobbyist use. Print speeds are impressive for the quality delivered, and the Epson software integration helps streamline the printing process. Whether you’re creating custom apparel, personalized gifts, or promotional products, this printer provides consistent, professional-grade results. Overall, the Epson SureColor F170 is a reliable, user-friendly dye-sublimation printer that’s perfect for anyone looking to get into sublimation printing or upgrade their current setup. Highly recommended! Wish was borderless printing

I would not recommend if you can afford something more expensive
So far the sublimated color is not true: (example) the pretty pink comes out as orange on both polyester fabric and wooden coaster using the only three setting on the printer: paper, photo glossy, photo matt. There is no “presentation” setting for the excellent color I had on the Epson ET-2800 (which I would NOT recommend for durability nor Epson’s customer service!). I purchased Epson, again, ONLY because I could not afford other sublimation printers and this one had the best reviews of what I could find. But Epson has its customers held hostage by way of the ink. IF YOU USE ANY BRAND SUBLIMATION INK OTHER THAN EPSON, THEY WILL NOT HONOR THEIR WARRANTY. And Epson ink is EXPENSIVE (“average” is ~ $0.55/print based on 200 pages/bottle) when compared to the brand offered on Amazon as a substitute. So I’d recommend buying the Assurion coverage if you plan to use sublimation ink other than Epson. That is the ONLY thing that saved me when the ET-2800 went Caput (twice!). (The last time it was trashed, so Assurion refunded the original purchase price—within the mfr warranty time which Epson refused to honor.)

Get’s the job done.
It works good. It didn't come with a cord or clear instructions on how to use it. I used my cord from my printer to get it started. I would have sent it back but you can't once you add ink.
