A statement in softness, Irish crafted with care.

Wrap yourself in luxury—or elevate your home—with this rich navy and blue mélange throw, hand-dyed and handcrafted with timeless artistry.

Woven in Graiguenamanagh, Ireland, by skilled artisans, this exquisite throw is made from a soft blend of Italian mohair and wool. The mohair yarn, sourced from the Angora goat, is hand-dyed in small batches at a historic mill dating back to 1204—a delicate, signature process that preserves the fiber’s natural softness while producing a deep, dimensional color palette.

The brushed mohair fibers gently trap air, making this throw remarkably lightweight, breathable, and warm. Perfect for cozying up or styling across the bed or sofa, it is finished with a lighter blue fringe that adds movement, contrast, and a modern visual detail. Generously sized, it blends everyday function with refined character.

About the Artisan

Cushendale Woollen Mills (est. 1778) is based in Graiguenamanagh, a picturesque Irish town on the River Barrow with over 800 years of textile heritage. Run by the Cushen family since the 18th century, the mill is one of the last in Ireland to dye, spin, and weave on-site. Both the town and mill are part of the World Crafts Council–designated Craft City & Region, one of only four in Europe.

About Mohair

One of the world’s oldest natural fibers, mohair originated in the mountains of Tibet and is renowned for its luminous sheen and unmatched softness. Known as the “diamond fibre,” mohair remains one of the most exclusive and luxurious textiles available today.

Thought provoking - and fun too
Format: Paperback
While I'm not usually a graphic novel reader, this really grabbed me. Its seriously thought provoking, with the right mix of humor to keep it from being heavy. The illustrations amaze me - I fill in the blanks with my mind so quickly that I feel like I'm looking at the person rather than a drawing. Definitely worth reading, and hanging onto to think about again and again.

Not very impressed
Format: Kindle
I really wanted to like this book. I am very interested in gender identity issues, but after I started to read it I found myself tuning out pretty soon. Honestly, I thought it was boring. Maybe it’s the format - I’d rather talk to a real person and hear their stories!

Thought provoking and warm
Format: Paperback
I heard the author on NPR and it was such a fascinating discussion that I bought the book immediately. I live with a teen in the LGBTQ+ community, and I'm trying to learn as much as I can to support them, and others. I can't wait to let them read it now that I'm finished. The book is a wonderful representation of those across the gender spectrum, providing insight and vulnerability meant to help us all understand a little better and build up our compassion for each other.

I Am Not Alone
Format: Paperback
Three cheers for FINE: a comic about gender! Heartwarming, life-saving stories about living outside the boy/girl boxes. What a relief to see myself reflected in these pages and have tangible proof that I am not the only one. Thank you, Rhea Ewing!
