The formula – which MEDICUBE spent 270 days perfecting – uses a 4th-generation form of Retinol, Hydroxypinacolone Retinoate (HPR); activating directly without converting to Retinoic Acid, HPR delivers all the benefits of Retinol – stimulating skin collagen production to increase skin elasticity, lift sagging skin, and address enlarged pores, fading hyperpigmentation, and improving skin texture and radiance – without any of the potential for irritation.
Along with 0.1% HPR, this serum incorporates a 5-layer Retinol Complex (made up of Retinol, Retinal, Retinyl Palmitate, Retinyl Linoleate, and Retinyl Retinoate) and 0.01% Bakuchiol, a plant-based alternative to Retinol, to maximise its wrinkle-busting, elasticity-boosting effectiveness. To ensure that these active ingredients remain stable until they have penetrated deep into the skin, MEDICUBE encapsulates their Retinol blend in a liposomal structure that both protects the ingredients inside and allows them to be absorbed effectively.
