L'età media delle piante è di 14 anni; dopo una prolungata macerazione, il vino sosta in barrique e tonneau per circa 18 mesi, prima di essere messo in bottiglia. Elegante ed espressivo, si distingue per l'equilibrio tra potenza e finezza aromatica.
Vino dalla struttura importante, si abbina con preparazioni complesse a base di carne rossa o selvaggina. Da provare anche con i formaggi di lunga stagionatura.
