Contraindications:
Organ Transplants? Recipients of any type of organ transplant should not use the AcuMat.
External Pacemaker? Anyone with an external pacemaker should not use the AcuMat.
Metal Implants? Consult your doctor if using an infrared device is right for you.
Use with caution (43°c (109°f) or below, or no heat at all:
- While taking medication
- When someone has a fever
- With joint injuries
- With immobility issues
- When sensitivity to heat
- With babies/children (It’s not recommended under 6 months of age and to always have adult supervision.)
Use with low heat, 43°c (109°f) or below, for the following:
- Adrenal suppression disorders
- Systemic Lupus Erythematosus
- Multiple Sclerosis
- Brain tumor
- Bypass surgery
- Diabetics
- High blood pressure or Hypertension
- Pregnancy
- Currently receiving chemotherapy or radiation therapy
- Surgical implants
For anything listed above, it’s also not recommended to use the AcuMat for more than 60 minutes. Discontinue use if you experience pain or any worsened condition.
AcuMat Safety Notice:
For your safety, please avoid placing anything on top of the AcuMat. This can trap heat and prevent proper ventilation, allowing heat to build up underneath, which may create a fire or burn hazard.
