The 4000 Series XS Gold brake rotors provide all the benefits of 4000 Series, with a premium non directional cross drilled and slotted design, including an appealing gold coated finish on the rotor hub.

The implementation of the distinctive cross-drilled and slotted design enhances the number of exit points, facilitating the efficient release of brake pad friction dust and gases through both the cross-drilled holes and slots, thereby improving braking performance.

Most of DBA's 4000 Series Brake Rotors feature the revolutionary Kangaroo Paw ventilation system. This system incorporates a pattern of 144 diamond and teardrop-shaped pillars, resulting in an impressive 30% increase in surface area and a notable 20% improvement in cooling efficiency compared to traditional straight vane designs.

Moreover, all 4000 Series Brake Rotors come equipped with Thermographic heat paint markings. These markings change color at specific temperature thresholds, offering a useful visual indicator for monitoring braking temperatures and assessing rotor fatigue.

Offering comparable performance advantages to the T3 slot, the XS Gold presents a favored alternative, particularly well-received in show car applications. However, it's important to note that drilled rotor configurations are not advisable for rigorous off-road or track day usage.

Essential To Read Before the Class
Format: Paperback
This book provides a good overview of what you'll need to know for your AMGA Single Pitch Instructor (SPI) course and assessment. If you plan to take that course this book is a no-brainer. You just have to buy it and read it. There are a few shortcomings: * The photos of how to tie the knots skip a lot and it is impossible to learn the knots from the book. * The photos of what not to do should be clearly labeled with a red cross bar or WRONG overlay on the photo. If you flip causally through the book and look at the photos some very wrong stuff is there and you have to read the text to know that it is not recommended. * The religious debate on anchor systems rages on. Should you set up a Joshua Tree System with Tether or a Backside System? I realize the AMGA doesn't want to pick sides and will say either is acceptable, but the book doesn't even try to discuss the advantages and disadvantages of various anchor systems.

Great for semi-experienced looking to build on knowledge.
Format: Paperback
Fantastic instructional manual if you already have some basic knowledge of anchors, ropework and climbing technique. It is written as an instructional manual for climbers looking to turn into guides so if you're brand new this probably isn't the best option for you.
