Its metamorphosis turned it into something resembling a cathedral organ, or the cathedral itself. It has a door into its inner sanctum where dark flashing crystals wait for their chance to shine.

Septarian resulted from volcanic eruptions on the sea floor and reactions with the shells of dead sea life. The altered sediment then formed mud balls which dried out into complex concretions. The geodes are composed of Calcite, which makes up the yellow centres and Aragonite which are the brown lines. The outer grey rock is Limestone.

The name Septarian comes from the Latin word septum meaning seven, and saeptum, which means a wall or enclosure. As the balls dried, they shrank, with a tendency to create a distinctive pattern sometimes featuring seven points.
