If you loved Pilgrim’s Progress, you need to discover what inspired it. Labyrinth of the World is the original pilgrim allegory. Penned 400 years ago, today it is virtually unknown in English. The author lived and ministered most of his life in exile after losing his entire family to the Plague. Both in life and allegory John Amos Comenius illustrates the teachings of Christ and Paul – the kingdom of God amongst the kingdoms of men – in ways religious institutionalism has seemingly all but forgotten. No other allegory in literary history depicts what Comenius gives us in this tale.

______________

John Amos Comenius was a Moravian philosopher, pedagogue and theologian who is considered the father of modern education. He served as the last bishop of the Unity of the Brethren before becoming a religious refugee and one of the earliest champions of universal education, a concept eventually set forth in his book Didactica Magna. As an educator and theologian, he led schools and advised governments across Protestant Europe through the middle of the seventeenth century.
______________

‘It is not uncommon for a play or a movie or even a book to be found as a favorite in countries other than the United States only to find their final and largest audience eventually comes from readers in America. "The Labyrinth of the World" is such a book. It has been translated to English prior to Tim Price's effort but not with the labor of love that Tim has put into his work. Tim did most of his initial research and writing on this book prior to his illness and I think that was helpful for him. However, his efforts and the scrutiny that his initial team of editors and readers put into this 233 page book is beyond any project that I have seen in a long time. The book has Tim's heart and expertise in translating the original work written on every page. If you loved Pilgrim's Progress, you will love this genre of Christian writing that was a favorite for European Christian writers simply because of the control enforced on all Biblical literature outside of the Catholic Church. Writings such as" The Labyrinth" were accepted more favorably perhaps because few really understood the use of an allegory in the spread of the gospel in the 18th century. Notwithstanding, it must have been a slow and agonizing process to find acceptance of reformation teaching and books such as the Labyrinth. If you loved allegorical books as a kid or a young adult, you will love Tim's book as I do and I am happy to say that Mr. Ubiquitous shared the truth with me and now it's my turn to tell you to buy the book and never look back!’ Bob Proffitt

Flattering fit
Color: Dark Green, Size: XX-Large
This sweater is thick and stretchy but holds a nice shape, and is flattering on the body. The sleeves are nice and long too, which I really appreciate, being a tall person... the button detail is a great addition. True to size. I haven't washed it yet, and I imagine, based on the kind of woolly knit it is, that this sweater will eventually pill... but for now I'm enjoying being cozy and stylish. The deep green color is almost black green. I LOVE IT.

Love it
Color: Dark Green, Size: Small
I got the dark green. Love the sweater and it's warm. I do layer the sweater as well. It is as pictured. Size is perfect to me. I like sweaters to be longer and a bit wider in case it is freezing and I need to layer it. This sweater is perfect for layering. It comes closer to my backside, it is a little wide and not snug, and I like that the sleeves come over my wrists

Still soft but looks terrible after 1 wash. Save your money
Color: White, Size: Small, Color: White, Size: Small
Update: sweater looked great when I received. After 1 wash it looks terrible. Looks like it’s been washed too many times, material fuzzy and piled. After wearing it once, it snagged and the knit pulled through. I would NOT recommend. I had such high hopes. Save your money. Very nice sweater, especially for the price! I love the details of the buttons on the sleeves. It is SO soft. It’s not super thick as I can see my skin through it when pressing my hand up against fabric. However, it’s not see through when wearing it. It’ll be perfect in cooler weather and perfect in the winter with a coat but won’t cause me to overheat when in a heated environment. I do feel like it runs big. I could have sized down a size. Although I’m not sure if it’ll shrink after a wash or two.

Disappointed.
Color: Blue, Size: Large, Color: Blue, Size: Large
This sweater is so comfortable and very soft. It fits well in a flattering, oversized way. But after one wash it is pilled everywhere which makes it look old and shabby. It’s at a price point where I feel compelled to return it.

Perfect for casual wear and dressy style
Color: Dark Green, Size: Small
This sweater is soooo soft and the color is so rich. The fit of it is perfect, not too tight and not too baggy, just right and I used the size guide to pick my size. Just for reference, I am 5'3" and 130lbs, 38C bust. It's well made and washes great. I chose to hang dry mine as I typically don't put any of my sweaters in the dryer to dry, just to fluff them. I have this one in two colors, the green and the tan/beige and I would say they are both a true representative of the color shown.
