Doing something different by choosing to slow down, be present, and take in each moment—has allowed me to see life in unexpected ways. It’s a practice that I’m leaning into but it doesn’t come naturally to me. This view was one we stumbled upon as we ventured out with our kids to a winery in Virginia. 

About the Vast Views Collection: Looking out over a landscape has always stirred up a well of emotions and possibility. As a child I would walk to the highest elevation on my parent's property and climb a large tree that had a limb hanging over the fence row, overlooking the valley. I would walk out to the edge of the tree limb and sit there absorbing the landscape. It felt vast and full of possibilities. I still remember the excitement it stirred in my core and that same feeling happens to me today. This year I’m focusing on that feeling and bringing more of that possibility and emotion to my view. My hope is that it also stirs those emotions in my collectors.

Details: This mini watercolor is part of Vast Views Collection completed by Cynthia Oswald for the 25 Days of Minis, 2022. This original watercolor is 2.5" x 2.5". The outside area of the frame is 7.5" x 7.5"— including the matte and frame. All frames are custom-made by the artist's husband, Steven Dise.

I purchased this during Prime Days in July for $18. There were multiple reasons I purchased this power strip. The list is as follows: The plug is flat to the electrical socket The plug rotates, which makes it so easy to plug into any socket and there have been many times I could not use a power strip because of the socket availabilty. There are sooo many places to plug in anything and they are far enough apart that you can use smart plugs with ease. The cord I purchased had a 6 foot cord, plenty of room to place the strip behind anything and have room to get easy access. This strip is at 4,000 Joules, which is very good surge protection. For the price point, even if it is not on sale, would be worth the purchase. This is a must have in this day and age of power needing devices. P.S. I would have purchased a Amazon strip, but they were “not available” during the Prime days sale.
