Few biblical topics are as important as mission. It is inextricably linked to humanity's redemption and salvation in the person and work of Jesus Christ: Jesus' saving mission is the foundation for Christian mission and the Christian gospel is its message. This revised and updated second edition of Salvation to the Ends of the Earth emphasizes the continuing narrative of God’s mission throughout the Bible – ranging from the story of Israel to the story of Jesus and that of the early Christians. At the same time, it provides a robust historical and chronological backbone to the unfolding of the early Christian mission, perfect for anyone wanting to learn more about the Biblical role and importance of mission. Thoroughly revised to draw on the most up-to-date scholarship, and incorporating exposition of the Epistles with the Gospel with which they have the closest canonical and historical affinity, this New Studies in Biblical Theology book offers a fresh, enriched and in-depth picture of God as a God of historical mission. It will leave you with a broader ands stronger understanding of the Biblical significance of mission and its place at the heart of the Christian message.

______________

Hard as it is to believe, two decades have elapsed since the publication of the first edition of this biblical theology of mission. The second edition aims, no less than the first, to trace the theme of mission across the Bible's story-line. Instead of envisaging mission as a late post-resurrection afterthought, it teases out the organic wholeness of the theme from Genesis to the Apocalypse. Nevertheless, most of the book has been re-written and updated, and some of it has been re-cast. For example, instead of outlining Paul's contribution to the theme of mission on its own (certainly a worthy goal), this second edition examines Paul's letters in tandem with the developments in the Book of Acts – a more complicated but highly illuminating procedure. If this volume contributes to enriching preachers and Bible teachers around the world with a renewed vision of God as a missionary God, the authors and editor will be profoundly grateful. D. A. Carson, Research Professor of New Testament, Trinity Evangelical Divinity School, USA

Not made from the most comfortable fabric
Color: White, Light Gray, Black, Size: Large
It is not the most comfortable fabric which makes it not suitable for summer clothing. Also, the fitting of the neck doesn’t look good since material is not wrinkle free

Excellent Mock Neck T-Shirts
Color: Wine Red, Navy Blue, Black, Size: Medium
As a man who appreciates comfort and style, I can confidently say these August Alley mock neck t-shirts are a solid choice. I'm always looking for versatile basics, and these fit the bill perfectly. The cotton material feels great against the skin, and they've held their shape well after a few washes. I appreciate the slim fit; it looks modern without being too tight. Whether I'm wearing them casually or layering them under a jacket, they always look sharp. For the price, getting a 3-pack of these quality shirts is a fantastic deal. Highly recommend them for any guy looking to upgrade his basic tee collection.

One of the Best Watch for the Price
Color: Black/Gray
Second time purchase of this model. The strap on the first one broke after 5 years and the original battery is still in it. Just found out that you can purchase replacement swap from Timex direct or through retail stores like Walmart and Target. The replacement straps are about $12. I mentioned this because as other reviewer of this watch or similar mode, the major con is the strap seems to break after several years. The other con of this watch is that the “start/split” button which is used to change time zone is on the face of the watch of the watch. It is slightly raised, so it is easy to accidently change time zone when sleeping. This watch looks good, very rugged, have taken it out many times snorkeling and shows no indication of water leakage. The oversize display is easy to read. The indigo light makes the watch easy to read at night and the night feature when turn on, will auto-light the display when any button is pressed. I travel a lot and really like the three time zones. Another hidden feature not mentioned by others is the custom menu feature. You can selectively pick the features you want to use and reduce the number of features you have to cycle through. This is an excellent everyday watch, very rugged, and accurate. On the previous one, I didn’t have to reset the time at all during the 5 years of use. The number for Timex Support is: If you can't find your strap, you can also order one by calling our Customer Service Department at 1-888-727-2931. I also had the traditional size display before discovering the oversize mode. The oversize is a lot easier to read.
