German sneaker brand adidas is Europe’s largest athletic shoe producer, with a lineage that dates to 1924. Balenciaga is a Paris-based fashion house that originated in San Sebastián, Spain, in 1919, with Demna Gvasalia at the helm of Creative Direction since 2015. Balenciaga is known for its avant direction, as is evidenced by their transformation of adidas’ Stan Smith from its signature athletic white and green to entirely Core Black.
