Darvilles of Windsor has been blending tea since 1860 and holds a Royal Warrant, supplying teas to the Royal Household at Windsor Castle for over 70 years. Royalty Assam is their single origin - 100% Assam from India's renowned growing region, with nothing else blended in to soften or dilute it. The result is pure malt, pure body, and the kind of depth and richness you only get when one origin is allowed to speak for itself.

Rich, malty, and full of character. Naturally higher in caffeine than most blends, which makes it a genuine morning tea for those who need their cup to do some work. Works beautifully with milk, which softens the intensity without losing the flavour.

If you enjoy Darvilles Royalty Assam, our Scotch and Abram's Assam is our take on that same bold, single origin malty character - pure Assam, nothing held back.

How to brew the perfect cup
  1. Use freshly boiled water, not left to cool.
  2. Steep for 4 to 5 minutes to let the full Assam character develop.
  3. Add milk. This tea is built for it.
  4. Don't over-steep - beyond 5 minutes it will turn bitter.
How does it compare?

Darvilles English Breakfast is the step down - same Royal Warrant-holding brand but with Assam blended alongside Ceylon and East Africa for a lighter, more balanced cup. Taylors and Brodies Assam are the closest single origin comparisons if you want to taste how different blenders handle the same exceptional region.

Game-Changer for Clean, Accurate Shelf Pin Holes!
This shelf pin jig absolutely delivered on everything I needed — the ease of use was fantastic right out of the box. Once I got the layout aligned, drilling was quick and precise. The accuracy is impressive, with clean, straight holes every time, and the included bits worked like a charm. The design is clever, compact, and durable — the aluminum plate feels premium and makes it easy to keep things straight. I love the versatility too; switching between 5mm and 1/4" bits was fast, and the guide holes are clearly labeled. The size is ideal for cabinets, bookcases, and even tighter spaces where a bulky jig wouldn’t fit. For anyone needing quick, repeatable shelf pin drilling, this jig speeds up the use and keeps your project moving fast without compromising quality. If you're doing any custom shelving or cabinet work, this is a must-have tool that saves time and eliminates guesswork.

Works well for DIY
Worked well for building bookshelf. Wish it maybe had som little pads on the back as some times it would slide a bit, but if I tightened it more it would dent the wood slightly. Overall very easy to use and worked well for its intended use.

Good addition to my jig collection!!!
Size: 9 Holes
It works great! Would be better if it had a Brad style drill bit instead of the ones that came with it.
