Our Fine Silver Overlay jewelry is crafted using a high-quality brass base coated with an advanced acid gold electro-depositing process, applying 20-30 mils of 99.9% fine silver. This technique produces a durable and long-lasting finish, far superior to basic decorative silver-plated costume jewelry, which typically features 5-7 times less silver.

Acid gold plating, originally developed for the electronics industry, offers excellent wear resistance and makes for a great alternative to fine jewelry.

I think it’s pretty sturdy too. But I’ll report back in a few months. At the moment nothing leads me to be suspicious of a less than long life for this chair.
