Part of SOME BY MI’s marine-derived PDRN range, designed for skin in need of a cool-down, this Spirulina PDRN Soothing Sherbet Mask is a cooling, wash-off mask designed to lower skin temperature, soothe sensitive skin, and smooth rough texture.

DNA extracted from Spirulina, a nutrient-rich seaweed packed with phycocyanin and amino acids, is the key to the skin-soothing formula, a low-molecular-weight alternative to animal-derived PDRN exclusive to SOME BY MI. Not only is Spirulina-derived PDRN vegan-certified, studies have also shown it to exhibit up to 50% higher inhibitory activity against inflammatory compounds and superior wound-healing properties compared to animal-derived PDRN, and it also works to inhibit the actions of collagenase, the enzyme that degrades collagen, in human skin.* With a structure similar to human DNA, it helps soothe and regenerate damaged skin, alleviate redness, decrease the appearance of pores, and enhance hydration.

Meanwhile, PHA, a mild exfoliating acid, helps to detach dead cells still clinging to the skin surface and infuses skin with hydration to leave your complexion smooth and refreshed, and a complex of 10 different seaweeds, rich in natural polysaccharides like fucoidan, delivers deep hydration, lowers skin temperature by activating cooling receptors in the skin cells, and helps balance oil and moisture levels by absorbing excess sebum and regulating its production. Its cooling, soothing, and hydrating properties are supported by Glucose and Sodium Hyaluronate – both powerful humectants – and Prunella Vulgaris Extract, which contains astringent tannins and other antioxidant compounds to keep skin calm, clarified, and protected.
