Appearance: Deep cherry red

Nose: Fresh leafy lifted cinnamon and cigarbox, overlaying red berry fruits, dark chocolate, roast chestnuts and black cardamon

Palate: Fleshy blackcurrant, black cherry and mulberry flavours lead into a blueberry muffin and milk chocolate mid palate. The crunchy, savoury and linear grape tannins integrate with elegant oak tannins to give the wine fantastic length, finesse and balance.

About the wine: As the name implies, ‘Three Blocks‘ is sourced from three very different premium McLaren Vale vineyards each featuring different soil types;
One vineyard has well drained sandy loam soils over silica sand and clay formation, the second, grey sand over North Maslin sandstone and the third featuring black Biscay clay over Pirramimma sandstone.
The grapes were harvested in the cool of the night between March 12 – 28 when fruit flavours, grape tannins and acids all reached maturity and balance. Fermentation on skins was for 8 – 10 days with all of the wine completing barrel fermentation. Considered maturation of each vineyard batch in oak specifically matched to these Cabernet vineyards from a range of French coopers. The batches were shifted between different oak types to impart layers of flavour and enhance the structure during the wine’s 18 month maturation in new to four year old oak barrels. The final blend used different percentages of each of the vineyard parcels to achieve the layers of flavour and tannin profile we desired when initially creating the blend.

This will reward the patient drinker who has the willpower to cellar this wine up until 2025.

Cheap Quality - 3 MONTH wait for warrantied repair!
Color: Black-Red/Digital/Black
About 40 days into my purchase, the watch starts doing a complete reset when I try to reset the timer, making me have to reset the date and time again. The Analog watch isn't any more reliable -- sometimes it will just stop temporarily and start again. I'll look at my watch and see the analog time, then realize it's 15 minutes behind actual time. So I called Timex for a warrantied repair. They told me I could send it in and it would take them about 3 MONTHS to repair it and get it back to me. 3 MONTHS, because they have to forward it to the Philippines for repair via the cheapest means possible. That is a ridiculous about of time to wait on a warrantied repair.

Looks great, but has issues
Color: Black-Red/Digital/Black
Great design, looks fantastic. Doesn't look too large, and the strap can be easily swapped for a nato strap if that's your preference. The negative display is quite readable and the indiglo works beautifully. Unfortunately, like many others, mine was prone to the reset bug. Using the chrono or timer modes would send the watch into a sort of boot loop for several minutes, after which it would be factory reset to 12:00 AM. This bug only seemed to affect the digital display and not the analog hands. If you never used these modes then you'd never have an issue, but these are necessary functions for me so that made the watch a no-go, sadly.

Disappointing in many ways
Color: Black-Red/Digital/Black
Bought this model twice. Digital display failed on both, the first within the return window, the second just after. Timex customer "service" said to ship it back for a repair estimate, pay for the repair, and then it would take up to three months once payment was made. I said thanks, but I'll leave a bad review and get a Casio sooner.
