The original ZVEX Fuzz Factory is a beast sometimes. Based on a germanium transistor circuit, it can become a little unruly at high temperatures - insane high gain and squeal when used in a hot live environment.
With this silicon version, ZVEX wanted to eliminate the temperature-related madness to calm the beast and make it more stable - while retaining its trademark dirty fuzzy goodness. With the traditional Volume, Comp, Gate, Drive and Stab controls of the original still the same, you can balance them to get to the more traditional fuzz tones – or go crazy with modulations instead.
