Rubino denso e profondo nel calice. Profilo olfattivo ampio e variegato, caratterizzato da note di frutta rossa in confettura, pepe nero, cannella, tabacco e distinti sentori di liquirizia. Assaggio pieno, corposo e proporzionato nelle sensazioni. Persistente, sapido e balsamico sul finale.Il Primitivo di Manduria DOP "Cosimo Varvaglione Collezione Privata" 2014 della cantina Varvaglione 1921 è un rosso sontuoso ed elegante. La fermentazione è svolta in acciaio e la successiva maturazione di 14 mesi in legni piccoli di rovere francese e americano, per poi proseguire il lento affinamento in bottiglia. Un grande rosso che racconta il potenziale di una delle varietà simbolo della regione.
Rosso importante, da abbinare a carni rosse, selvaggina e formaggi a lunga stagionatura.
