ENGLISH DESCRIPTION

In early October 2023, Palestinian Plestia Alaqad was a recent university graduate dreaming of a career as a journalist. But by the end of November, her homeland was unrecognizable--and she was broadcasting videos of violence and destruction to millions online, known across the world as "The Eyes of Gaza."

On the morning of October 7, 2023, 21-year-old Plestia Alaqad wakes to a flurry of messages and headlines: Gaza under bombardment. Civilians flee waves of Israeli strikes. In a few short days, she and her family will be at the epicenter of a violence that is all too familiar for Palestinians--but this time, she knows, things will never be the same.

A series of diary extracts from the weeks following October 7, The Eyes of Gaza is a gutting, on-the-ground record of the turmoil and destruction endured by the men, women, and children of Palestine. As Alaqad flees from neighborhood to neighborhood, from hospital to hospital, she documents all she sees--the destruction of beloved homes, the waves of bombs, and most of all, the boundless bravery and generosity of her people--all the while trying to memorize the faces of those around her "so somebody will have known them before the end," wondering if, one day, her own journal will be discovered amidst the rubble.

A document of the indomitable Palestinian spirit, told through the voice of one ordinary young woman, The Eyes of Gaza is a tribute to Alaqad's beloved Gaza, a paean to the courage and endurance of Palestine, and a manifesto of hope for its future.

Toss this printer away
Style: WF-3823
Less than a year old and it will not accept Espon print cartridges. I have googled and done everything possible to reboot the printer, but nothing is working

Huge Step Backwards
Style: WF-3823
Purchased this after my WF-3540 finally died. This is a disappointing step backwards in capability for the price. Printing is at best "fine". Getting good color matching / saturation has been a challenge but otherwise acceptable for general things like labels. Despite the confusing documentation (at the time of purchase), this does not do double-sided scanning. This makes using the ADF for multi-sided documents basically pointless. This will be my last Epson. UPDATE - Months have passed and I'm moving it from 2 to 1 star. The ink cartridges run out quickly and are expensive to replace. The ADF jams constantly on scan jobs. The paper pull from the main cassette pulls multiple pages at a time. On top of all that, when using this with a WiFi connection to your network only, the amount of times that it losses connectivity but thinks it is still connected is constant, and/or assigns itself a local IP address instead of getting one from DHCP results in having to cycle power to get it back working. Trash printer.

Happy with my printer!
Style: WF-3823
great buy im super happy with it, i had a HP business printer for about 5 years and I was unhappy with the cost of my $500 ink. So i decided to just buy another printer with a lower cost of ink. I have the same outcome in the printing, great quality, accurate and bright colors. I was able to print business cards and Sticker labels but you can only add 1 sheet to the printer while printing cardstock or labels or it'll jam. But honestly it doesnt matter to me im just happy i dont have to pay so much for ink now. The sheets take a few seconds to print but this is fine for anyone who doesnt need to rush multiple copies. the sheets do shoot out with force when done printing so the sheets do often fall on the floor but if your sitting near you can prevent it. I am able to print wirelessly from both my laptop and iphone!

Easy Peasy to Set Up
Style: WF-3823
This is probably the sixth printer I've purchased, of which this is the second Epson. My first Epson, which is an earlier WF version, is probably at least ten years old and still operates the same as it did when I first purchased it at least ten years ago. The other three printers were a very well known brand, which I won't mention here, and none survived more than a couple of years each. This brand new Epson WF 3823 took about two weeks to arrive, but it was well worth the wait. It was very easy to set up as it took me all of four minutes to connect to my network and print out my first page. And for $80, I feel like they gave it away.
